Ran my Evo again tonight at Sacramento Raceway. It was kind of warm out (+1500da) so I wasn't expecting any crazy times. I made 7 good passes and then I smoked the clutch. I tried to let the clutch cool and make another pass 30min later but it just smoked again on the launch. It felt fine driving home but I think I'm going to try adding a ACT clutch in the near future and going back out with a C16 tune. Here's my results...

Really impressive driving, but you really should considering to let the car cool down a little more from run to run, as shown from the decreased trap speeds. You are losing as much as 30whp just because the car is running hot back to back.
Good job nonetheless.
Good job nonetheless.
I believe the traps are misleading, because he was either heatsoaking at the end of 4th and knocking, which killed his traps, or it was his clutch giving way in 4th. This was great driving - launching AND shifting - but he's not so amazing that he can run 11.8s at 111. Those are 114+ traps that were knocked down due to extenuating circumstances. Still great driving...

Nice driving man! 11.80 with couple mods, cant top that!
I would be very happy if my stock clutch was slipping in 4th causing low trap speeds. It did seem like the rpm's shot up when banging 4th. I have almost 100 passes at the drag strip on the stock clutch and probably another 100 passes on the street. Plus I now have 6,300 miles on the car so it's probably time for a new clutch...

Your right. I did heat soak the car. I drove 1hr 45min to the track in traffic and started running 5 minutes after I arrived and never really let the car cool down all night. I'll run a cool car next time out to make sure I get optimal times....
Huh? Where do you see any trash talk? Get your head out of your ***, man. I congratulated and said it was great driving, which I do not do very often. I was simply explaining why the 111mph traps were misleading. It was the furthest thing from trash talk, you monkey.

If he is knocking at the top of 4th, wouldn't an aftermarket FMIC cure that issue? Like an AMS Street or a Buschur core?
I agree that 100 octane and Cams should be a higher trap and curb knock, atlast 115+ MPH trap and like a mid 11.
An FMIC would probably be a band-aid. I don't think it was the FMIC's fault in this case, but rather the clutch slipping and/or hotlapping too quickly. Again, a more efficient FMIC would probably help in this case with hot weather, but it would be masking the real problem(s).
people just don't expect nice things from you and when you do say somthing positive, somehow it's a bad thing too
PS, Nice driving!! 11.8@112/113ish <- a lot faster / better driving then me (12.2@112) in an VIII. Can't wait to join you in the 11s
