3 Buschur mods....11.9.....IX RS..Going for 11.8 at 116

Posted 8/2/07: Well guys I made my runs, I may have let you guys down, but on the other hand the car went quicker than it ever has. Like it says below it was very hot and humid. It never really cooled down and the humidity never went away. So I guess for the conditions the car performed better than it did before. When it went 11.99 it was about 50 degrees and no humidity.

Pass 1: We all know that the first pass isn't ever the best.
1.815----------------60 Foot
5.148---------------330 Foot
89.18----------------1/8 MPH
7.908----------------1/8 Mile
10.282---------------1000 Foot
113.14---------------1/4 MPH
12.277---------------1/4 Mile

Pass 2:
1.740----------------60 Foot
4.965---------------330 Foot
91.00----------------1/8 MPH
7.671----------------1/8 Mile
10.005---------------1000 Foot
114.80---------------1/4 MPH
11.970---------------1/4 Mile

Pass 3: Clutch was slipping in the first three gears very bad and part of 4th. I think it might be time to have the Exedy twin disk thats sitting on my kitchen table put in.
1.923----------------60 Foot
5.209---------------330 Foot
89.53----------------1/8 MPH
7.944----------------1/8 Mile
10.302---------------1000 Foot
114.18---------------1/4 MPH
12.279---------------1/4 Mile

I could have made a 4th pass but I decided that I wanted to be able to drive the hour and 15min home, and make it.

Over all a slightly disappointing but successful night. The car ran good for one pass and laid down the best pass yet. I am happy that even on a humid night it will go 11's. Unfortunately it didn't make the 11.8X at 116.XX that I was looking for. I do think that it will on a cool dry night. I can say the cams did make a difference just because of the whether differences it really didn't do what its capable of.

Posted 7/31/07:
Well guys for those of you that have been following along, I have a 06 IX RS with Buschur racing intake, TBE, and a boost controller, 23psi and pump gas, no N02 no alky and a stock turbo and stock clutch.
The new parts are now in which are Cosworth cams supertech valvetrain greddy timing belt and ARP headstuds. The tune is as close as my friend could do for no wideband (which I ordered today btw). I will post the times in this thread the day after because I won't be home until late.
I will have a video of this as well.

Here's the other thread of it going 11.9

Wish me luck!

Probably just added timing until there was knock. Not a big deal if the fuel map wasnt touched a whole lot.

The tuning map we started with was from another Evo IX with similar mods which had like 4 counts of knock. In the RPM range that it was knocking we added more fuel now its down to 1 count, which is fine. The timing is fine for now, and it has a custom mivec map.

Were you running an upgraded fuel pump with the 23 pounds of boost when you made your 11.9 run?

And are you running one now?

The only reason I really went was because my friend was home from the Air Force and he and his father wanted to see the car run.
