Can it be done?!?!?

Ok, I own an 06 IX RS im a good driver, and the car has responded way better to the mods that are done than I think most peaple expected. Im not implying that its a freak, BUT you never know. Heres the idea. Right now the car has gone 11.97 at 114.80 with a 1.74 60' on a really Hot and really humid day, I know its gonna go 11.8 at 116 no problem. Im installing an Exedy twin HD VERY soon along with ALL motor and trans mounts, and moustache bar removal brace that AMS just made. Over the winter its getting some more work done. Forge WGA, intercooler and piping (all I buy is Buschur) its probally going to be the race, it might get a blow through maf also, now sure yet. Aquamist HFS-5 system, and nitrous. Now I know that ALOT of you guys cringe at the thought if NO2 but, since its on meth it should make it safer. Just like the meth system im not going to cheep out on anything. Im putting a window switch from 3500 to 7500 and it will be direct port maybe a 60 shot. I have another intake manafold so its probally going to buschur to get ported and a 65mm TB will be comming back with it. I know it really dosent need that but its off so it might as well be done. Shooting for 450whp stock turbo, pump gas with meth and if we get a damn E85 station sometime soon im going to convert over. BTW: Theres a chance that it might be on Drag radials.

Here are the power mods the car has when it wnt 11.97: Cosworth cams, buschur TBE and 02 housing, buschur intake, boost controller, and a custom flash. (It hasn't really been tuned yet, I just got my wideband in so now it can be.)

The ?: Can a 450whp evo that weights 3200 with the driver go 10.99?

I know its going to be really close but do you guys think it can be done....I Think with a 1.5X 60' it could be done. The car is going to be making at least 100whp more than it is now, which IDK what its making but with a 115 trap speed we could probally guess and come reasonablly close. Its probally in the neighboor hood of 350.

I think you're over-sensationalizing it a bit. Right now, with a 60-shot, you'd gain enough power to hit a 10.99 on a good launch. Adding all the other stuff should make it no problem in terms of power, but rather a matter of driving/traction. Remember that the PR boys hit 10.9 on a lightly-modded IX and a 75 shot a long time ago. You won't need a 1.5 60' to do it as long as your gearing doesn't get in the way, but gearing is definitely an issue for a IX...

Warr, I know that the 60 shot isnt a convensional shot I just figured that 15 per hole was on the safe side. I going to be right around there. i dont want to blow it up ya know.

Thanks Warr. i thought it could be but i didnt realize ant just the NO2 would do it....i know im gonna be in 5th....im guessing around the 1000 ft mark. by the way i was really tired when i wrote it so your probably right about over-sensationalizing. thanks for the input......this might happen this year.

Add a 4.11 final drive should solve your problem.

I wouldn't go to a 4.11 randomly. It's already been discussed how that has a major effect on gearing and acceleration. I would not do that.

A 60-shot is not a standard size. It's usually 50, 75, 100, etc., but if your car responds to the 60-shot the way I've seen other Evos respond to 40 and 50 shots, then you'll gain over 100whp alone.

Ahh, my tuner saw my thread. Once that wideband gets in you and your 30r better watch out.

You've got cams, exhaust, boost, and tune.

Race gas, clutch, and a 75 shot of sauce should put you in the 10s if you can stay hooked. Track prep will have alot to do with it. I would spray out of the hole and not use launch control.

Lastly I wouldn't attempt to mix alch/meth with nitrous unless you plan on turning off the meth and running only C16 with the juice.
