Ugh soo close
Well I tried again last night for 11's on just a reflash, TBE and BR filter....
I ran some C-12 (awesome fuel imo) and retuned for it. Boost was 28psi to 21psi (similar to what I run on pump). I got to make one pass, good launch but at 6k clutch slips (hit 6k rpms and holds for a second) well I said screw it and ran the pass out, clutch doing the same at 6k in all gears. Ended up with 12.08 @ 113. Not bad for a slipping clutch I guess at 2000' .
Oh well, time for a twin and see what she will do. Scary thing is on the ride home the air was alot better and cooler and it just ran unreal. I can't wait to see what it will do with a good clutch!

Dayyyyyummmm
You're kidding - just a flash, tbe and a filter and you ran an .08 ??? Holy f*ck
I know this is gonna sound like a noob question, but do you run straight c-12 or do you mix it with the other gas that's in the tank?

ummmm yeah c 12 makes ur car way faster... i'll go to the track and run c 16 with a tbe intake and my reflash and i know ill be going faster then my previous 12.4 on 93 oct.
Close, but not THAT close.
Call me when you get a 12.000 - THAT is close!
It's surprising the clutch was slipping right at 6k. It should slip at lower rpms where there is more load/torque. It wouldn't slip at a higher rpm without slipping at a lower rpm.
Lil red, this is good for a few mods, but Evos have been doing this for years. I hit my 12.000 almost a full 2 years ago with the same basic mods but not tuned for race gas and much less boost, and plenty of IXs have gone this fast even on 93oct. Nuked will go even FASTER with a strong clutch, I'm sure.

Unfortunately, military deployments don't keep me at home for long enough.
I plan to hit the drag strip while in Topeka, KS, for the SCCA Solo II National Finale. I'll be competing nationally for autocross, but I also plan to hit the drag strip, which is at 1000' - much better than 5000'+!

I have. Normally it is 26.5-27 tapering to 20.
Warr - Yeah I was suprised how it slipped. It would do it in everygear hold 6k rpms for an instant and then start reving again? I tried on the way home to make it slip (6th gear floored at 2k rpms) and it never did, pulled hard and strong. I am guessing the added tq and launch just killed it. In hindsight, I should have left my pump tune on and ran it like that. I am pretty positive it would have still gone 11's.

If it didn't slip when putting it in 6th gear at 2k rpms and flooring it, then it was NOT slipping at 6k on the track. A slipping clutch doesn't hold and then start revving, but rather the revs jump up high then fall back down when the clutch catches. What you're describing is the opposite.
Launches are not at peak torque either. The first place it will slip will be in top gear at full boost. That's the MOST load you can produce.
