Another story from E-Town
Same difference. The power you make is the power you make. On the dyno, weather affects you the same as at the track.
Your 60's weren't really some of the best - that was just selective memory by your friend. Yours were ok, but anything over 1.7 is not good. Anyway, your 60's and shifting weren't a problem, and I didn't say they were. You just weren't making more than 270-ish whp.

Thanks for the comments. If you're interested at all I posted my 1st and 3rd runs in a link back on my first post of this thread. For some reason it looks crappy now that it's on google video but it works for now.
Your power level is fine. With 360whp I only trap 112-113 at Etown.
You did very well your first time out. I was at the event and a lot of guys were running really embarrassing times. I think the weather had to do a lot with it. I had to leave because I was dehydrated.
I think people don't realize that times will vary from track to track. There are just too many varibles to say that "with 300whp I ran XX.XX at this or that track"
Good job.

On another note, 363whp is 38whp more than 325. 113 is 6mph more than 107. 38whp != 6mph. ~60whp = 6mph. Even with your claims, he's way below 325whp.

And I ran 12.1s @ 111.5 3 times in a row in 95* weather and 90* humidity with a density altitude of 3300' with less than 330whp. My 60's were only mid 1.7s.
So you guys keep pointing that out but I don't get it. I just got it tuned 4days ago at Sean Ivey's. It's a Dynojet and it's not like I would lie about the numbers because they're not even big numbers. Do you think there's something not right with my car?
For example when I used to have my talon I was doing 12.2-12.6 at @ 116-117 at Etown. The following week I went to Atco and did a 11.6 @ 122 without any changes. This seems to be the pattern with all the cars I take to E-town.
dude your car is fine,one of the best tuners in the country tune your car,dont worrie about some ppl hating on your times.
you're right, why tell someone a potential issue their car has when you can coddle them with a BS "everything seems great" comment. No one made light of his driving skill.
My comments are based on experience at MANY tracks INCLUDING that very track. 325whp does not trap 107mph anywhere (for an Evo). 325whp traps 111-112 on a 3300-3400lb Evo w/driver. If you trapped 112-113, then you were putting down close to 340whp. It doesn't matter if the dyno said 360whp. That's just a fact. Also, E-town is well known to be one of the fastest tracks around, so you can't play that card. Yes, the weather surely affected people, but that's my point. Hot/humid Weather affects power output, which then affects traps, which then affects ETs. It's not like the weather only affected traps but everyone was still making gobs of power. Think about it - it's just simple logic.
On another note, 363whp is 38whp more than 325. 113 is 6mph more than 107. 38whp != 6mph. ~60whp = 6mph. Even with your claims, he's way below 325whp.

My point is that for ME, E-town has always been a difficult track for me to go fast on...who knows...
My other point is that its irrelevant when people say that you should have ran a certain time because they ran a certain time with so and so hp. There are too many variables to account for. Put the cars on teh same track at the same time and then you can start comparing things.
