another stock EVO

Hey all, my first time at the track was today. and I was wondering how these times were.
1st run 2nd run 3rd run
60FT 1.985 1.992 1.994
330 5.839 5.882 5.852
1/8 9.095 9.015 9.076
MPH 77.04 77.78 77.12
1000 11.915 11.749 11.839
1/4 14.294 14.066 14.176
trap 94.43 97.28 96.47

The car is a stock 2003 VIII with a flash ?(MAYBE { I didn't have it flashed but it has a 2 step}) It was 93 degrees and sunny 70% humidity. baromoter was 29.94 elevation is 838 feet above sea level. Traction was absolutely not an issue. I lifted on all shifts except my 3-4 2nd run.
The car has a little more in it. but I don't know how to improve my 60 FT. I'm nearly dumping the clutch and it's just slipping. (not enough to be smelly, though) I can't get my leg to move any faster but the car would take a slightly more aggressive launch without bogging. any pointers would be most welcome. But wartalon, I know I didn't search. don't tell me to please. thanks to all.

It's really not bad at all for your first time at the track. It seems like it was very hot and humid. You should be able to run in the mid/high 8's in the 1/8 mile and the mid/high 13's in the 1/4 mile if you get your launching down and wait for better weather. You should also check out your tune because it seems like your car might be struggling for power.

I did notice that it seems to die off in the upper revs when it's hot out. I had heard that this was Pretty normal for stock but I'll be getting a datalogger cable for my laptop in a couple weeks. I'm not sure if I would rather find out the car is slow or that I am slow. I had my friend take some video but the came out terrible so I won't bother posting them.

Also, I'll add that acing an 8 second mustang is only depressing until the parachute comes out. I got a better R/t than he did but he flew past so fast my car shook It went like this :

Hmm, well, the 60' times are awful, but that's expected for your first time. You just have to make sure you're launching around 5500-6000rpm and really ripping it out of the hole. Then, just shift as fast you can - doesn't have to be a powershift.

The main problem here, though, is that you're trapping so low. That's very weak for even a stock 03, and yes the weather will affect it, but those traps are like a stock WRX almost...

Yea, I'm going to see if I can find a way to get out more aggressively because I'm definitely not dropping out of boost when the revs come down off the launch. I checked out my plugs today and they're fouled horrible and gapped out to 040 so I think that was an issue also. We'll see if the car feels any better to after I change plugs and get a chance to drive it.
