Its too bad your short time wasn't more consistant. Normally if I run three back to back 1.7 short times my mph doesn't vary by more than .5 mph. To me this indicates a good tune.

The two 112mph are fairly solid but the next day is all over the place. In most cases if I botch the launch I normally see a higher mph.

Its too bad you don't have a cable because I would send you the meth tune from my eight and you could compare it to yours. It would be nice to know what kind of timing you are running. A jpg of my open track map can be found here:

I would highly recommend the ECU hack for the knock CEL. That way you don't need to log to know if you are knocking or not.

Temps will make a big difference but I can't imagine a 4mph one. Seems like your losing some power some where. Did you feel the car losing power up top during your last 2 runs? Could be pulling timing due to knock. Are you sure your meth was spraying? Which direction was the wind blowing and how fast?

You said you did a boost leak test but have you noticed your taper going lower then expected? Just curious on this one because I had this issue a couple of weeks ago. I would hit 28psi and then taper all the way back down to 20. Fixed now.

Hope you figure it out and good luck!
Mike

I think I talked to you tuesday night I ha the GG 9 and I think you ran my buddy with the STI. Are you going out this tuesday maybe I can help you out. I normally cut 1.6-1.7 60's not the best but i slip the clutch more than I should to try to reduce driveline shock but never the less 1.7 is 1.7. I have been working with my friend with the sti and he shaved a half second of his time.

Well you did come to the right place....

You already know that your driving needs work so Im not going to mention that again. The car also needs work. The last time you went out it trapped only 106 and 108mph means that you have some serious issues. With the power you are making at AMS you should be trapping 113-115 depending on your driving.

Can you be absolutely certain that you do not have boost leaks? Do you have any exhaust leaks? What about a compression check on the motor? How old are the plugs? The next thing you need to do is have someone datalog it to see if you are knocking and other vital signs of the car. I can help, but am busy most likely until mid-late week.

I have been having boost problems also it isn't a leak I actually think there is something wrong with the wastegate actuator but either way on less than impressive boost I havepulled a 12.4 @ 108. I was just looking at the weather and it is supposed to rain tomorrow hopeful it doesn't. Well good luck and hopefully I see you out there.

I am searching for a tactrix cable now if anyone has one for sale.

Boltz, boost leak, compression, is going to be checked tonite. Plugs were replaced at the beginning of the season. They have less than 1k miles. My research for self tuning is officially beginning.

Cool, But I will advise it is harder to start self tuning when you are diagnosing a problem and tuning as opposed to just tuning a car that currently runs properly. If you need help you can PM me,

Justin
