Still was not able to hit 12's

First of all i will say that i am very dissapointed. Yesterday i went down to Sacramento Raceway ( Elevation about 150 Ft) and my times sucked. Here are my mods... 3" Catless Turboback, o2 housing, Intake, crank pulley, Upper IC Pipe, BOV, Ported Header, Act clutch and Flywheel,BC 272's and valve springs and retainers,50 shot of nitrous, and a tune at 4,200 ft. I should also point out that i was running on 18 in rims, 21 psi, 91 oct, and my bottle was 2/3 full and i did not have a bottle warmer. Im in doubt if it was working properly. Temp was about 55 F.

First three runs were without N20
Reaction .090--- .196 --- .245
I1 --- 1.877 --- 1.794 -- 1.764
I2 --- 5.450 --- 5.41 --- 5.363
I3 --- 8.439 --- 8.453 --- 8.304
MPH --- 84.400 --- 82.918 --- 82.550
I4 --- 11.070 --- 11.110 --- 10.897
E.T --- 13.254 --- 13.290 --- 13.059
M.P.H --- 105.238 - 103.908 -- 104.098

This runs were with N20
Reaction .784 ---- .386 --- .349
I1 --- 1.859 --- 1.863 --- 1.843
I2 --- 5.478 --- 5.438 --- 5.394
I3 --- 8.468 --- 8.461 --- 8.391
MPH --- 79.303 --- 82.104 --- 85.314
I4 --- 11.052 --- 11.084 --- 11.002
E.T --- 13.195 --- 13.238 --- 13.172
M.P.H --- 106.763 --- 106.382 --- 104.582

I knew that my times would suck with out n20 as my tuner said. But after three tries without it not hitting 12's i used the n20 to get out of my nightmare and i was put into a worst one.

your car is trapping extremely low...stock IX's can trap that...you REALLY need to check your Tune and find a solid tuner you should have a 11 second car on your hands....god that trap is pathetic

Did you adjust your tune for racing at a lower elevation? That could be the main reason why you ran so slow.

Yes i know that my trap speeds are horrible. I dont have a way to adjust my tune. I think that that affected my times but not to that extent.

the guy doing his tune is very capable..all the cars he has tuned (including mine) break the 12's on pump gas at 4000+ ft. His car with crappy driving will break 12.4"s at 4200+ft.
try using some of the suggestions given you before. Like getting a bottle warmer to up the pressure. Try a smaller fuel jet. From what it sounded like when I talked to him is your getting some "puddeling". Also DITCH that crappy "wot" nitrous activation no need using it off the line evo's don't need help getting off, not on a stock turbo. Driver mod will also help.

you should be trapping 108 easily on pump gas... 113 with a 50 shot

and i mean thats the minimum...

Your 60' isnt too bad... average....

shifting doesnt look horrible, i suggest you get the car retuned or if you think thats not the issue, take someone with you who can drive very well and let them run your car

Cheers!

also want to add a bottle warmer is very very very important with nitrous, esp at 55 deg...

instead of 50-60whp, you were lucky to pick up 25whp...

Thats what makes nitrous work well... it needs the heat to function

Shift faster, shift higher, Drive harder. Alot of it seems that you arent spanking the car hard enough.

your 60' isnt bad

your 330 is about where it would need to be for a 12.5 or so

your 8th and beyond is really dropping off.

If its not driving, the only other thing that I would surmise is you arent running as much boost as your guage reads.

i have trapped higher than that with tbe, 22psi, uipc and tune. i think you should try a tune from someone else and check the car for problems like compression or boost leak

Well I definitely feel that you are probably running way too lean when you ran at Sacramento @ 150' elevation vs being tuned for 4200' elevation. I know that where I live in L.A it's about 500' elevation and when I would run up at LACR in Palmdale @ about 2700' elevation, I was too rich for that altitude. I would always have to take out some fuel from my Xede and turn up the boost some in order to run decently up there.
