I wasnt able to hit up the track before it closed. Wouldnt have mattered anyway because I had 4 boost leaks this entire time and I recently just fixed them all. We are finishing tuning the car now and there is a rumor that our track is going to re-open around the middle of December for some 'winter fun', so I might possibly be able to make that.

But what kind of times should I expect with the mods listed in my sig? Im really wanting a 11 second capable car before I start initially running.

(I particularly dont want to get a 10.5 hotside or o2 housing, because I plan to upgrade the turbo the beginning of next summer.)

What kind of time should I expect with going with a meth setup? 11.7? I'd love to hit mid 11s if I go with the meth setup.

 

i dont think the brand of meth kit makes a difference on how fast your go but good driving and 28 psi makes all the needed power to get 11's.

 

Heh, yeah I know. After reading my thread it looks like thats how I was saying it, but I just phrased it wrong. I meant to say I was going to go with the Aquamist HSF-1 setup, and was curious about the power gains.

 

you should be around 375 to 380whp you should be ableto run 11.9 with good driving with trap speeds of 114 to 115. maybe 11.8 with excellent driving.

 

^ he already answered you! doesn't matter what alky kit brand if two identcal mods same driver on the track(each pass)with two diff alky kit and run both same boost= same time!
As for me I don't have meth but i can easily run 11'8's @28psi boost w/ my stock turbo.

kinda tooting your horn there arent ya? when i used to run 12s i did 12.3#112 with a crappy 1.8 60ft the idea of his post was to find out where he should be with high boost

It doesn't matter what alky kit you run

 

the alky doesn't make any more power running it. It allows you to turn the boost pressure up because it cools the air charge and wont detonate as easily.

so...24 psi w/o meth is the same as 24 psi w/ meth.

Do people not read the thread before posting? Im going to re-edit my original post to make things easier. I am clearly aware that you have to raise the boost, & tune for meth. I am also well aware that it doesnt matter what brand of meth kit you run, one is not going to make a difference in power.
