First time to the track, I did allright.
oh but when i did this run it was wet out, i wasnt at the track, its all done with my g-tech, i spun all through 2nd gear since its about 30degrees here and advans blow when cold. and i granny shifted. i only did the run to make sure the gtech was working properly. i dont see how that run is bad at all when i didnt even try.
my first pass "EVER" was 13.4@104 with 1.82 60ft, after that, it was on lol. but i was bonestock. added 23psi/3" exhaust and BAM 12.9@107 1.71 60ft.
Just gone down hill since then
No track yet though!

Just messing with you man ...
My first ever run with the Evo was a 13.1 I believe. At the end of the day I had a 12.96 @ 106 IIRC.
However, I've run as slow as a 14.6 in the Evo ...
To the OP: You will get faster with more experience ... definitely. Just go over those things I suggested that you try on page 1.

Congrats on the first run, but for not having the car for more than a week, I would get to know it somewhat first before launching it. Get to know how it drives and its sweet spots, then go get some good numbers.

Don't like criticism do ya?
you need to work on your 60 ft for sure, MPH are ok for stock should be, could be two to three miles per hour more. but not bad for not knowing how to launch the car... good luck on your next trip to the track.
I ran a 13.48 @ 102 with a 2.0 60ft. (still horrible!). With just a catback and a reflash. I also was running a full tank of gas and I was on a stock clutch and I have an SSL! With a 1.6 or 1.7 60ft. and proper shift points I would have ran a 12.9 easily. With your mods you should be doing 12's. What you ran is horrible but why did you run only once?
my first run ever on a evo 8 was 13.8. 2nd run was 13.3. sold the car after that for a mr. those times were on a 03 evo with tbe, maf adapter and filter.and a act hdss clutch. untuned. pretty good time for ur first time on a awd car. keep practicing. good luck
My 1st time out was 13.3@102mph with 600 miles on the odo
My 2nd time out I ran 13.0@102.7mph, with 1000 miles on the odo. Full weight, 100% bone stock/93 pump gas.
My 3rd time 12.7@110 with just an ECU flash, eveything else is bone stock.
I only took it to the drag strip 3 times. Road racing is more fun.
