AWD burnouts

Im looking to buy my M&H's DOT slicks, Got a question how to burnout on them.. Is a AWD launch enough to heat them up.. I see RWD or FWD cars burnout for quite a while to heat them up.. How do you guys in AWD cars do it... What tires do you use for 600whp. Thanks for your help.

Well you damn sure arent going to get a civic style burn out going in your evo. Its not as simple as pull the e-brake and dump the clutch. You shouldnt need to heat yoru tires too much as you have AWD. However, if you feel you need to just roll up to the burout box and pretty much launch the car. That should get your tires spinning a little bit, and if nothing else its more heat on them than you had.

it also cleans up all the crap off your slicks. not sure if it makes a different with AWD though.

Really is that all.. This is going on my GTi. I converted to AWD, I can still do FWD burnouts, its a weird AWD system. So far my best 60' time on 15" street tires are 1.66
