I've searched but cant find any def. proof. Has there ever been a stock bottom end evo 9 in the 10's with the stock gearing? I have been tapping the low 11's quite a few times but I keep bangin the rev limiter a few hundred feet before the end of the track @ 125-126mph in 4th. I just got some 255/45/17's on the stock wheels and increased my tire diameter by 1inch. this should be good for another 5-7mph. So I'm hoping this will help get me into the 10's. Any info would be helpfull. Thanks.

What is your limiter set at?

 

In the ecu its at 8500, however my cluster shows it hitting the limiter at like 8300. One of them is wrong so at the hightest its 8500, but I shift at 8 in all gears except 4th and ride that one out.

 

i would just go ahead and get the evo VIII 4th gear if I was as fast as you.

 

I'll be doin the 3rd and 4th conversion when I send my tranny to shep, but I needed new tires anyways so I thought I'd try this too.
