0-60

I know you can use a smaller turbo and get a quicker 0-60 or use a bigger one that gives more top end. So my question is what is an ideal setup for geat 0-60 time? I have searched and seen a few but most people go for overall power or top end. Thanks for the input.

I think even with your stock turbo, a good tune can get you quicker 0-60 but it depends on the mods you put into your engine too. I haven't test mine yet bc I haven't finish with the tune yet.

Well the FQ400 has a 3.x 0-60 with a ~35R sized turbo so I'm not sure the smaller turbo logic is correct.

Maybe but im sure it has more boost and different support then a regular 8. Right? Im not to familiar with the FQ's. What would you suggest?

My question is, why do you care so much about 0-60? Change the gearing in the transmission if you want a fast 0-60 so bad.

I told you what to do to get the "ideal" 0-60 time. It doesn't really matter about the turbo size, because you can just run anti lag and dump a ton of timing to build a bunch of boost to launch off the line with.

0-60 performance is very relevant to overall performance and general drivability. This is the most common operating range of a street car.

The Evo is capable of 60mph in the top of second gear, what type of gearing changes would result in better 0-60? Taller first gear?

I agree with a previous poster, the optimal pump gas / meth street warrior would probably look like a FP Green car with Meth @ 30psi. Or Full Race's twin scroll 30R setup.

race map or meth with a twin disc, good launch and a stock turbo up to a moderate turbo is going to be really fast. I think the clutch and launch technique are more important then anything else. I don't think you can change the gearing much as you don't want to shift twice. I've always wondered what my 0-60 time is when doing the 1/4 drags. I have had a 1.6 60' with a 9.5 to 92mph in the 1/8. My quess is that 60 came in around 4 seconds.

My Beltronics Accellerometer put my 11.8 run @ 120mph at 0-60 in 3.24 seconds with a 1.75 60'
