I know its hard to even come to a guess via the internet...in my opinion Iam a good driver (my stock turbo STi ran 12.8 @ 104.8 with only 285whp). The trap speed at the 1/8 was 90~91mph on the evo.

Very nice. Thanks for making the post and supporting us.

I think you can get an 11.7 out of the car. Who is tuning it? I ask because you say it's not completely tuned yet.

Thanks again,

We just did a basic tune e-mailing it back and forth to one of my friends. He's been doing it a while. I didn't have a wideband at the time so we were going on knock counts, zero. But stay tuned I have a wideband now, and im getting it street tuned this weekend. The AFR's (now that I can see them) are running between 9.8-10.6, so there's quite a bit left in it!

Thanks for posting Dave! Plan in seeing this car in the top 5 for the fastest stock turbo list! Rockin' out to stock block, stock intercooler, and pump gas baby, and maybe a few drugs in a bottle!

FYI: these passes didnt have the n2o kit installed yet.

Nice run...I have an STI and always go back and forth on which car I enjoy driving more since my roommate has an 05 mr...I just don't understand why people always diss the suby's stock turbo. I know it's way smaller than the evos, especially the 9 which is basically a 16g compared to my little 34lb/minute or so compressor wheel, but we can run similar times on the stock turbo too, and no need for cams or transfer cases. Sorry didn't mean to ramble, but I have looked at a 9mr but can't decide if I wanna trade in mine for it since I've already committed some money to the car. Good run though man, congrats.

I went 11.9 with no cams too, and a stock clutch. Buschurs black car set the mph record with a stock RS transfer case so it dosent need that either.

I have a few friends with crazy built sti's and fom my understanding the stock turbo record for those is like 11.5X. And thats with quite a bit of motor work. Im shooting for 11.7 possibily 11.6 after the alignment. I still have really nothing done to it.

Yeah that sti with the record had a bigger turbo inlet and a tial ewg. Other than that it was basic bolt ons like a turbo back and an intake, and a tune of course. Now I've found a deal on an VIII and just cannot make up my mind!

Not really - go look at our stock turbo drag list for 2008, which doesn't even include awesome times from previous years. The stock STi turbo simply can't flow enough to keep up. Times are only similar with basic bolt-ons and pump gas, since the STi can't run more than what...21-22psi max? The turbo is just too small, and they have to shift to 5th, which is a handicap.

Transfer cases are not even really a topic.

You should hit 11.5 easy with a tune and some driving

1.6x 60 and a faster 1-2 shift along with a tune and you're set

If it went 11.5 i would flip!....I'd really like to see an 11.6. Im in the process of buying a fender roller (that will be up for rental), swift springs and a Warrtalon alignment....Thanks for putting the alignment specs up in one of your posts. I probably would have pm'd you about it anyway. If it goes 11.6 off the bottle I'd be thrilled as hell. I would like to see 11.2 or lower on the bottle and after the intercooler and piping and a retune 11.0 to 10.9.
