"David" (800awhp evo 8) vs. "Goliath" (1200hp 911t)
Just got home and very tired but I had to post this one up. Just came back from englishtown to watch what was supposed to be an epic battle.
Top Level Performance's owner, Ricky ( http://toplevelperformance.net/ )decides to issue a challenge to one of the tri-state area's living legends, Eddie 'Tito' Bello.
If you don't know who Tito is, You better ask somebody!
http://youtube.com/watch?v=0CwlJaeKQ_k
Ricky, being no slouch either, decides that it's time to put his new ride to the test.
Some of you guys may remember the last creation..

That car ran 9's with a similar combo. The porsche has been known to trap 150+.
A lot of guys/gals decided to take the trek up to NJ for the battle and were very excited to say the least.
Tensions build. The money is locked for the gambler's run. Excitement is in the air even for the spectators that just realized what was soon to come.
NO.. the race isn't starting like this this time,,,
This one was to go before the 'capacity crowd'...lol
So of course the evo/dsm owners have their hearts in their mouths. All wishing/wanting for the same outcome!!!!
Just like most bullies in the park, when you stand-up to them, they just back down.
Mechanical failure (broken hose clamp) and time limits at the track prevent this one from happening tonight.
I'll keep you guys posted for the re-match!!!

Pretty ghey that he didn't or couldn't fix a simple "broken hose clamp"... Correct me if I'm wrong but HOW would he know he broke a clamp without seeing it and 2: that car looked to be driving just fine away from the line. If I remember correctly, a car runs like *** with a blown coupler/clamp...

I know who Eddie Bello is...
MOUNT VERNON: STOLEN PORSCHE RING -- A race car driver was among three Mount Vernon businessmen arrested over the weekend on charges related to auto theft, the Westchester County district attorney's office said yesterday. District Attorney Jeanine F. Pirro said Eddie Bello, 35, a drag racer of Porsches, stocked Porsche engine parts with defaced vehicle identification numbers at his auto body shop, while two other repair shop owners had parts and entire cars -- including Porsches -- that appeared to be stolen. This is why I titled my thread "David vs. Goliath". Ricky held his nutz and took it to another level with that challenge. You just have to respect that.
