11.6 is my new 12.0
Could the size of the tire be causing you to have a slower 60' time? I would think that with it being a drag radial you would hook up better & have plenty of traction which would obviously help, but can a taller tire change the gear ratio enough to offset the aded traction? I know it will help you on the top end where you run out of 4th, but just wondering how the size may or may not affect the 60' time.

I don't think it is making a difference, but it's certainly possible. I think my shifting to 2nd so quickly affects the 60' more. I may try holding it in 1st a little longer now that the gearing is taller, but you know what...in the end, it doesn't really matter what the 60' says. It only matters how quickly I get to the 1/4, and whether I shift before or after the 60', it only matters which one gets me to the 1/4 faster. It's just that we're all used to seeing 60's have a big impact on the 1/4. In my case, the 330' may be the more important split.
True the 1/4 time is most important. It's not like you have bad 60' times. I'd be grinning ear to ear if I could pull a 1.6/1.7 . I guess we will find out one day what I can do. I need to do a few more things before I get out to the track. Can't wait.
