Think I am done with the stock turbo

So after some serious thought I think I am ready to try something different. I feel I still have the fastest true street car and make the most HP ever on the stock turbo. I cant see destroying my nice street car to keep up with the rest though. I am sure with full slicks, dropped exhaust and pulled seats I can pull off 10.5-10.6 but once others catch me on HP which is quite easy to do if you follow my mods path. They will end up in the low 10s or even high 9s if they cut enough weight.

I have done the math and if my setup was in Paul Nelsons car I could run a 9.9 in the 134mph range on stock turbo.

I wanted to do the FP RED but I cant seem to get he right deal on one since ETS will hook me up. I think I am going to see what I can get with a 3076. I am hoping I can touch 600whp with one.

I really admired the work you did, and very impressed with the performance.

I have stock 8 turbo in my car, in your experience will the step colder plug or the 1/2 step colder plug give me more room for timing/boost?

On to the next record! I don't doubt 600whp as a realistic possibility for a second

It was fun while it lasted, see you on the other side. I'm gonna go for CB's all time record first. You've been an inspiration. Best of luck with whatever route you chose.

Talking with the guys at the shop I am going to put a little work into one last try on the stock turbo next week.

Has been real hot around here so not sure really how much better I will do but we will just have to see.

Mods.

-Pull all the seats but mine (SSL)
-Drop the exhaust
-Small breaks
-Full slicks. (26in)

Lucas, you should do some testing with intake manifolds on the stock turbo before you give up on it! There's more power there, you said it yourself!

Not to put any words in lucas' mouth, but I think he's tried a LOT of different intake manifolds. At least, that's the word from people around here that know him. I haven't asked him directly yet. I can't wait till tuesday... Lucas will be giving my car a REAL tune... I wish I knew the person that had my car before me so I could whip them with rawhide... ran the car into the ground.
