Review of the world's largest and greatest DSM/EVO Shootout!
Thanks guys.
Yeah and it happened on my graduation day from college. I went out with some of my friends to celebrate and parked the car and when I came out a couple of hours later it was gone. That was 16weeks ago. Some graduation present. Oh and the car was scheduled to go back to AMS for some serious weight reduction and some more power the week after it was stolen. Would have been ready for the shootout. I guess it was not meant to be.
Didn't mean to bring a good time thread down with my bad experience. Only advice is insure your mods just in case. I'm very grateful that Eric at AMS told us to do that from day one of the build.

the last two videos have been added, they are a the end of the time trials and then the dsm & evo eliminator classes...whew it's a lot of work editing 2 hours of solid race footage but I wanted to make sure we got some excellent footage to show people why they need to be there next year.

Late reply... but def best shoot out ever!!
Awesome turnout and by far the baddest q16 class ever. When the slow car is a 10.1 ... ****s bound to be fun!
Dave it was very nice to meet you, had a blast and I hope next year kicks *** again!!

I read my fortune cookie after a lovely chinese meal yesterday trying to relax and unwind from the shootout aboard my small fishing craft on Long Island Sound. When I read it it made me think of all the people who have made the shootout over the last 6 years since Evos arrived on our shores.
Thanks to the vision of David Buschur, what started as a small gathering in his back yard of a few DSM hobiests 16 years ago has now grown into the world's premier grass roots import racing event. The highs and lows and everything in between will always have a special place in my memories. The best was when I won the EE class a few years back, followed closely by watching Master Shep break some records in his machine, the worst was when it rained last year, that was a major depression.
The Shootout has given me a lot of great memories and all I can say to those who decided to sit this one out for what ever reason you really miss out.
