I fully agree that Tym is a great tuner. My evo however was initially tuned by Dave. I then switched to e-85 and the hta35r. Nate Silveri and I tuned the car on the street on the way up to the evo shootout earlier this year.

I stopped by Tyms shop to check it out and kill some time and get the hell out of the sun and enjoy the a/c The car has been a ***** to get started and I did ask him to see if he could get it to start better. He messed with it for 30 minutes and we still could not get it to fire right after it syncs. I raced it with the same very safe tune at 34-35psi that we did earlier in the year.

I do have a wilson ported stock manifold and throttle body on order. And will be taking it to Dave to get tuned, the mustang dyno is great for tuning the driveability. Please lets not make this into anything more than it is.

mod list to run 9's?

Wow, Brandon's 330 time was impressive. Ours was only a 4.03 on the 8.96 run, we make up a lot of our ET with our MPH, obviously I guess. My RS on DOT's has had a best 330' of 4.11 with Trent in the car.

John's car is simple.

2.3 Stroker (I believe Buschur built it)
Shearer 35HTA kit
AEM
1600's
Buschur Double Pumper
3" Exhaust
SHEP trans
Exedy or Tilton Clutch(I'm having a brain fart)
Buschur I/C
DSS Driveshaft & Axles
BFG Drag radials
and of course a SHEP Trans.

And ran this on E85 fuel! I think that covers it. Oh and I almost forgot, the guy is a decent driver too.

Maybe try some t-bolt clamps instead of worm clamps, also spraying oil all over the engine bay isnt going to help either.

We had a bar holding the pipe on that worked all last season and most of this season. The IC pipe blew off in the 1st round and actually broke the welds on the bar. We had it rewelded for the 2nd round of qualifying and it broke again. We tried a t-bolt clamp too but that didn't work either. When your at the track with limited resources you work with what you got. We will be bracing the top and bottom of the pipe and going back to the track very shortly.

4.11 to the 330ft is moving for the setup on the RS.

Oil doesn't actually spray everywhere. That picture was with the breather filter off, and we wrap the breather with a rag as well to keep the oil to a minimum.
Like Kieth said, first pass it broke the weld off the IC pipe to TB brace.. so we had to make due with what we had. First time it has actually been a problem as well, the worm clapms have been holding just fine.

When I was looking at the car there was oil all over the engine bay, even looked liked the front of the motor had a serious oil leak. If you look at the first pic i posted you can see oil on the CDI box, the intake mani, the brake booster line and even puddling a little on the -AN fitting of the fuel line.

I know the breather filter was off, i saw it sitting off to the side with what looked like a folded up shop rag zip tied around it.

Dont get me wrong, the car is wicked fast, but it looked very sloppy to me compared to the other fast Evo's there. I guess I just expected such a fast car to look a little better done.

Its hard to keep a high HP drag car looking as good as it did the day you put it together. When we put the new turbo on I will be making him a new catchcan and a new UICP. I will post pics when its done and I hope you approve of how it looks.
