So this weekend I took another whack at the stock turbo record. Really need to get the cage in this thing. Only getting one shot at a time makes it real tough. On on my 1st pass on street tires and ran 1-3rd and coasted 4th at 11.5@106 so I knew the hp was there. The track seemed very chaotic with the event going on so I thought I might be able to slip some fast times in with no cage. So on my next pass I put Aarons slicks on and set the launch to 6500rpm. I did not go to crazy on the launch since I had never ran on the slicks. Well I ran my 10.822@125 and got the boot. Know I could have launched way harder and shifted my 1/2 a little quicker.

I had the car on the dyno last week trying to find some more HP the car made 513whp and picked up some solid hp out the top.

Some test data I have from the dyno

My PS/AC delete is worth about 5hp out the top and a few hp in the peak hp. Dropping the Exhaust lost 50hp and ran like crap. Running DP to the middle of the car picked up about 5 peak hp and almost 20hp at 8k. Kinda surprised me.

I have a little more respect for the big dogs who have no Power Steering running fast on slicks. In the top of 3rd it was all I could do wtih one hand to hold the car straight. Wanted to pull to the left real bad. In my DSM a few years back on slicks you would hold the wheel half turned to the right all the way down but with the close ratio of the EVO it really makes a guy work for it. I know if I ever go to the next level I will do some kind of ratio reducer to make it a little easer with no power stearing.

Here is my info on the car

What? He made a typo. I see no relevance to character if he fixes it. Why so cryptic?

Awesome time, and I think it can get even better with more than one run, but the title is just typo'd.
