hey guys.. went out to the track for the really first time with the car... had a 1.7 60ft on street tires... i was wondering why my trap seems so low? i def. can admit i need to practice more with the car..

 

Your trap should definitely be higher then that with a 35R. Did you log any of your runs by chance, or no? Boost leak? I trapped that with stock turbo and only ran a 12.3.

 

Did you let off before you crossed the 1/4? Post the rest of your time slip...probably help some other people figure out why your trap is so low...

 

that mph is awfully low for that e.t and you didn't have a extremely low 60' I think you let off too early.

 

just like you said you need more practice....i def think you let off

 

ill try and find my slip... i dont think i let off...i boost leak tested like a week or so ago and it was good...i'll have to check again.

 

post the rest of the slip numbers and maybe it'll make sense. You should be picking up about 30mph from the 1/8th to the 1/4

 

My guess, your alky kit was not firing. About a month ago, I made two passes and was only trapping about 113/114. I couldn't figure out why I was trapping 8mph slower. I started pressing the test button on the alky kit and it wasn't spraying. So, I'm going under the assumption (without having logged the runs) the AEM was pulling all the timing up top to keep the engine from blowing. Just my guess but I'd check your alky.

That trap is very low for the HP you make. Something is up.
What is the boost set at? What is your AF going down the track?

Are you going into 5th?
