Nitto's are good for street and strip while the BFG's should only be used on the strip. you will chew up the BFG's on the street. that is what i have heard and seen around.

It's been a while since i was looking at DR's.....but there was a time when you couldn't find the BFG's anymore....only what people had laying around in the shops.

Nitto's work ok and are a much better street/strip tire.

The BFG's are a better track compound hence why they wear faster. Only thing with them is that they run a smaller numerical size than stock but work fine for the most part.

I have yet to try out the new Hoosier DR's but my personal pref. if sticking to a true DR (radial) it would have to be the MT's but only size in 17" is 275/40

You can search my name for diff drag tire threads from the past as it has been discussed here in this section numerous times

I have been using BFG DR's for god knows how many miles. i had one set for 30k+ miles. they handle fine for the street. took them up to 194mph, went road racing around the streets. yes they are not the best for turning but they are dam good still.

warning with them i have had them on my car more or less since i got the car. car has 50k+ on it now. and the sides of the car look like rocks eat away the car from the tires always throwing **** up at it.

if you have the budget get a new set of rims for track and a set of rims for street. this way you dont kill tires. and save your car side from getting all chipped away at

Screw you Chris! Those tires suck! And your a horrible driver!

lol j/p

The BFG are the best tires you are going to get for the combo package. If you want the best though and can have 2 sets of wheels/tires, use your stock wheels and get a set of Mickey Thompson Motorcycle Drag ET Slicks mounted on your stockers. Best you are going to get without going drag car style! (small brakes, small wheels and slicks)
