Have a question about shifting?

When you make you passes do you keep the gas floored or blip the gas before you shift? Or just regular shift?

I'm just trying to improve my driver mod...

Thanks

I WOT every time I shift. I have noticed that the largest gain is in the 1-2 shift. The WOT 2-3 is not as important as the WOT 1-2. The WOT 1-2 seems to be worth about 3 tenths.

I think you should try it yourself and see whats best. My on my slow non-turbo eclipse i powershift the f!@# out of it, whereas my gsx i still have to shift extremely fast but smoothly, just to make the transition real clean.

Depends on the level of the mods on the car. I've seen it happen though.

Hey guy's what's NLTS, WOT? I normally let off the gas push the clutch, shift, drop the clutch and nail the throttle to the floor, as quick as possible. Is there a better method? Sometimes I mis-shift into third, it really pisses me off! It's difficult when the car is pulling you back to push the shifter forward, well it's not difficult but it takes practice, which I don't get enough of on the track. I'm currently at 555whp 2.3L stroker, Shep trans, AEM computer. I'm soon to be pushing 800whp, and am adding DSS stage 5 axels. I'm looking for ways to improve my shifting, and ET.

No Lift To Shift
Wide Open Throttle

It means that you shift without lifting your foot of the gas, making quicker gear changes into better rpms. But if you don't have the patch in your ecu that drops the revs a little, you're gonna have to shift quickly or you'll hit the rev limiter.

When you shift WOT you never stop spinning the turbo.
My TT stealth picks up 4 tenths WOT shifting, in the 1/8th hehehe
My tranny hates it though, I'm on my 3rd one.

I want the patch!!!! I want this!! There is no way I can shift quick enough without the patch, my car is sick! I'm going to forward this to my shop so that can hook it up!!! I hit the rev limiter occasionaly anyways. On the street I try not to even boost unless I'm in second gear. I can't shift quick enough 1st to 2nd. I'm not saying I'm horrible, I'm so so. I can't, and don't get enough practice. I have a shift light and I try to get it right on to be consistant, but every now and then it just takes off so fast I hit the limiter from 1st to 2nd.

How hard is this on the tranny? You still push in the clutch but leave your foot on the throttle correct? So with my dual syncros in my shep trans it shouldn't be too bad.
