1/8 mile times

Well I decided to take the car out to Qualcomm last night and make a few passes. I have not raced the car since converting to E-85 about 5 months ago, and was curious how the corn fuel would do vs the previous C-16 tune.
Run 1: 60 ft- 1.86
1/8 et- 7.56
1/8 mph- 92.40
So it may be that I'm a little rusty or that the tracks preperation is just crap as usual, I'll settle for a combination of both. I spun badly off the line, and I also tried running out third but met the rev limiter at 8 and grabbed 4th since I still had another 10-15 ft.
Run 2: 60 ft- 1.96
1/8 et- 7.55
1/8 mph- 97.17
This run I didn't hesitate and grabbed 4th gear @ 7k and was surprised how much mph i picked up.
Have i mentioned that I Hate 1/8 mile tracks yet(especially this one)? Hopefully I will get to one of the few 1/4 mile tracks this year and see what this translates to on the big end. One thing is for certain though and that is a Shep tranny will be my next mod!

thats pretty good, with those times you should be in the mid 11's....Good job just get that 60' down and low 11's are possible.

In the 1/8 mile @ Irwindale Speedway I was able to run a best of 7.59 and a 1.6 foot in the 1/8......And that was @360HP_DynoJet...@25/26psi 100 octane,,,
So you should be in the low 7's maybe high 6's....Just keep going back and get more drag time... NICE TIMES....

Thanks Ant. I used to consistently hit between 1.64-1.71 short times on the stock advan's, but this is the first time drag racing in probably 18 months and I didn't make any adjustments to tire pressure, or my two step(6800rpm). I just wanted to see how the car felt with E-85, and I'm more then happy with the outcome. Hopefully I will get up to Autoclub dragway sometime this spring/summer.

I went 6.8 @ 101 with my fpgreen on e85, you just need to get that 60ft down, should go low 7s.

My best runs where done on bald stock ADVANS,,,@20 psi in the tires..I think ur 2step is a little to high that's why ur spining..and a cold track,,you need to adjust to the track conditions,,and you will run some good times,,
I wanna head down there one day and run on that track,,,

You need to lower your 2-step. I launched at 5000 RPM at full tire pressure and pulled 1.75 60 foot times. Your MPH in the 1/8 is good, but then again you're on E85. I did 90 MPH on straight 93 octane with a lot less mods than you. I'm not bashing you (everyone knows my times are not impressive as I haven't drag raced in over half a decade). I'm just trying to help you out. I think your car has a LOT more potential in it.
