a stock evo does NOT do 12's.
In terms of time, most reports I have read put the stock Evo @ 13.8.
The point here is that a simple 30Whp increase (over a stock Evo) has cut the Evo time by a full second or so. I would have thought it would have taken a bit more than that, closer to 60Whp.
Again, a great job by the folks at AMS!

I was the other Evo X at the track last night. The magazines left a bad taste in my mouth for the RA, but that changed a lot last night.
Here is the run that I did with Eric. My Evo X (modded a lot more than his) was in the left lane, the AMS RA was in the right. As you can see, he smoked me off the line (his 1.824 was better than I ran all night), and he was only a tenth back in the 1/8th. Sick!
Congrats Eric and AMS. I really hope you continue to push the envelope on this car and transmission.

So the most important components in the setup was the intake piping, intercooler, and tune? That's not a significant amount of hardware, and would certainly be worth the cost!!
Maybe I'll have one someday, but I just bought a used RX-8 for now!
