Then that means the drivers must hold a valid NHRA competition license. HMM, very cool seeing someone step up and enforce the rules for a good reason. Running 8's is no joke and should be taken seriously. Good luck guys, I will be down for a few weeks....

I guess its nice for a competition like this, but their are people like me who do not want to own a trailor queen. I rather have a daily driver in the 9's with full interior and abs no roll cage. Im sure there is alot out their who feel the same! Nice that a vendor is doing this though.

When is the 9 comp going?

Safety first man if you want to build a serious car you have to run the safety equipment. i drive my 8 second car on the street(full interior and AC,PS etc) with no problems and she never sees a trailer unless something goes boom at the track.

Once again good luck everyone!

Stay tuned for the Bounty in the 9's We've had several pm's with requests for guys almost in the 9's.

Although unfortunately in the name of safety we will require all appropriate safety equipment also. We simply won't encourage ANY form of unsafe race or competition. Just think of the possible Legal ramifications, IF an accident were to happen not to mention the guilt we would feel. Some may try and twist our intentions...but if this were a Spark Tech only show, why would we allow ANY form of ignition?

This friendly competition was thought of because we are hoping to unite the Evom community and get back to the basics....Race and have fun and make the Evo m community proud. For the most part it is doing just that. Do you see how many cars with 8sec potential have been racing lately? Even guys not on the list have stepped up their game. In these tough economic times with such dismal news reports we could all use a little distraction from our every day lives.

[QUOTE=Most-Wanted;7250064]Thanks. It was a bad day for sure. But my Tcase went 8.75 I'm working on getting the issue resolved quickly and may return with a dog box and fresh clutch. I'll discuss it in my build thread. But I just wanted to post and say I am sorry I disappointed the sponsors and my friends here and in PR. I had high hopes for Sunday, but it just wasnt my day.[/QUOTE

Brian you have not disappointed me not once "if you are not braking parts you are not going fast enough" braking parts at this level of power is part of racing I know you would go 8,s very soon and it make me proud to let me advise you on your driving take care and hard work will pay of very soon...

I'd def want to give that 9 sec bounty a shot if it ever comes about.

I think that would be a great idea and i'm sure would have many competitors however i can see how the safety requirements may steer some away....oh well.....back to bounty hunting.....

Best of luck to whoever goes out shooting for that 8 sec pass next

^Most of the cars have seen their fare share of track time hints the low ET's except for the AMS clone car but that's definitely a proven set up and with a good driver should do very well.

You should make a bounty on the first 9sec stock ecu. That hasn't been done yet. Instead of doing just 9s cuz alot of people already go 9s
