Ok guys got a pm from Mike and he said he ran into some issues and that he had to have machine work done to some of the engine components so he hopes to have the car tuned and back to the track asap.

I think he said he had it started again last friday so hopefully w/in a couple weeks....

Here's his quote

"I will let you know if things go good on the dyno and if I make it to Fontana on the 11th. If so I plan on coming up for CMI on the 18th."

Well Mike and i were at the CMI race this past Sat.

His Audi suffered a loss of 3rd gear on the 2nd qualifying pass so no new hard data to share as 60 fts were not below 1.8

He did say that he got in a couple decent launches down in SoCal but had a slipping clutch in 3rd gear and 4th.

The car did manage a 1.54 60 ft i believe w/ the car making 650whp he said not 100% sure on boost pressure off the line.

They do look good even in 225 size and seem to be holding up to the hp/tq so far.

Now if they only made them in 245 .......i think this would be a hott item for all those Evo's roaming the streets

Here's a quick pic for you all:

Once 9sec9 and I get the clutch dialed in we will be going to the track to tire test for Hoosier. It is a drag radial and it is built to a 245/45/17 size suggested by 9sec9. They will not be available to the public for at least two months as we are just starting development in a few weeks. 9sec9 and I have secured the first production run of these tires and will release pricing and availability after development is complete. That's when drag racing is the best here in CA

Not a full slick it will be similar to a Hoosier or MT drag radial in compound and radial design.

W/ the added side-wall of the 245/45 i think this has a lot of potential can't wait for your test result data

The 245-45 17 is a great size tire with a +1 size. It should give better traction (due to a soft compound) and a better mph for the IX's due to it's height. We had SOME input on the size and compound, so we better do well on the tests. If not, I didn't have anything to do with it. We can't wait for the test set to get to us, so we can start testing them. At this point, we have pretty good numbers on the BFG's so it should be intersting to see how the new 245's perform.

The Nitto 555 drag radials are 245 45 17 too but I dont about the compound though?...

I guess this Hoosier should be better right?
