11 sec and faster ET and WOT shifting

How many on here who runs a 11 seconds or faster in the quarter mile "wide open throttle" shift your car? I came from the SRT 4 world where the redline of the motors are in the 6200 RPM region and unless you wot shift a big turbo your ET's in the 1/4 is really going to suffer. I know the evo has a higher shift point but is WOT shifting necessary to get good 1/4 mile ET times?

with that big turbo yes ,, look into the tephra mods it has a no lift to shift feature that isnt as hard on your car as a typical wot shift

It's not necessary...

Either you're prepared to try the best way of doing it or trying to get close to it. Most people use NLTS that's included in the Tephramod which is easier on everything than banging that revlimit at 8k when you shift.

low 11's on crappy tires and i lift when i shift. probably could eek 10's out of it with a better launch but still shifting the same.

Back to back testing in a twelve second 16g car at the track showed .2 second difference
Im sure your slower spooling slower response 37r will be impacted much more then a 16g teenie turbo, The car should move down the track either way but in drag every tenth counts
