Pat, soft is an understatement for these tires
Fathouse will be running them as soon as his new setup is finished.

The first batch has sold out! I have requested another run ASAP. If you are interested in these tires I would order them now for the second batch as these are selling fast. Due to the limited availability we are limiting orders to two car sets (8 tires) max, in order for everyone who wants a set to get them as soon as possible. Thanks, Indy

We are waiting on the ETA for the second batch. I will be meeting with the Hoosier engineers at the US Nationals, and I will post up the expected date here and on 9sec9.com.
Pat, I do not expect any changes.
Thanks, Indy

First run is completely gone, except for 2 straglers. 2 were kept for the DOT and engineers I think. Indy, now you've got to find one of those 1/2 fast cars with half AWD to sell them to.
I just read 20 pages, from start to finish... LOoks like a FAIL to me.
.. We're talking about a DR.... They are used for one purpose.. DRAG racing.... If you cant get off the line any sooner than a street tire, whats the point.... 90% of the people in the thread who ordered, aren't trapping close to 150mph like VWJEFF, so stability is out the window.... It DOES come down to 60-ft... Whats more impressive to hear, a car running 11.50's @125, or the same car running 10.90's at 125. I'll take the ladder of those 2... Props for the R&D.
.. But every now and then things dont work out as planned...
Street tires and a good clutch FTW!!

The problem with releasing early and all results doesn't mean that everyone reading them has the proper ability to evaluate those results.
At the track, 90% of the drivers drive around the water or do very little burnout. Because of that, the tire requires more time and passes to remove the release compound and break the tire in. Remember, these tires weren't driven on the street to be scrubbed in. They were taken to the track and tested.
I guess using hindsight, we could have held our early results until the tires were 100% ready for maximum results, but that possibly would have resulted in another 'FAIL' comment, due to us not releasing the information soon enough. So often in this forum, agendas by individuals result in comments being made that actually has nothing to do with the products being presented. It has more to do with individual personalities attacking others by use of the slanted keyboard. We will continue to bring new ideas to the market without regard to a keyboard comment that has no merit. In the end, myself, as well as those reading these results will vote on success, or failure, with their money, not just words. The more biased the comments are, the less money I personally will spend with the 'origin' of that comment. Ignorance of where and why the comments are made isn't being overlooked. We all have a choice of where to spend our money. I've chosen to spend some of mine in developing something that many Evo owners have been wanting. Welding a piece of pipe, or just trying a new way to bolt something to the car isn't stepping up to the plate. It's difficult to get a major manufacturer to listen to what we need. When we do, early Fail comments are counter productive to moving the community forward with truly new products.
Obi-one, since you're so new to the community, maybe you could explain your Fail comment more fully and then we can evaluate the merit of that comment after the tires have been fully tested by the purchasers.
If I had paid attention to the keyboards, I would not have built the spool for the Evo. I was told it wasn't needed. It's now being used in 5 high horsepower cars without a single failure. I'm sure it's already saved a diff or two. Give these tires a fair time to be evaluated by those who are just receiving them and I think you'll find that the word FAIL doesn't even remotely apply here.
WOW. The tires did it again. Indy just blew away his previous best times and mph at ORP. With 30 psi in the tires, he went 1.699 60' with an 11.83 @ 114.86 mph! More to come.

I was on the phone with a fellow EvoM'er talking about ideas and parts. My cell went off about 5 times. Jim finally had to text me, then call me again while I was on another phone call. Sorry Chris, 2 hands, 2 phones and another one ringing.
Added: looking at the logs of the run right now.
