A quick cage question. Pics would be awesome.

For some of you that are running very quick times, are you using just a main hoop, ones that go from the main hoop to the floor board up front by the doors, and a set of bars that go from the c pillars, and a harness bar?

So in other words will a 6 point get me a few passes in at around the 135 mark, then when I turn it up will that be enough for me not to get booted asap lol.

If your going faster than 135 can you post up pics of your cage setups?

Grab the latest NHRA 2009 handbook and all your ?'s pertaining to legality of safety equipment will be answered.

It really all depends on your local track what they enforce.

Technically by NHRA standards 135mph + requires an NHRA license

Thats good to 8.50 et's used to be good to 7.50 until a few years back.

8 point roll bar good from 11.49 to 10.00 same as the one mike posted except no a pillar bars or windshield bar.

Thats what I figured, a car that wouldnt really be easy to have a street driven car where my gf would be able to get into the car and go for a ride lol. She doesnt like the fact that the car is going to be loud and fast let alone having to finagle your self into a jungle gym.

At this point an a pillar or window bar doesnt make a difference. Looks like a full halo and 8 point cage will need to go into the car. Should be an interesting thing to try and make look stock lol.

if your gonna put halo in your gonna need a pillar bars since they all tie in together.as far as getting in and out ive made cages that u cant even see and you have access to rear seats and no need to jump over bars to get in.for the door bars id suggest swing outs which u can remove for street driving.

Nice I like, the only thing I would want different like I said is trying to make the c pillar bars go around the door frame. Also about the halo, yes I know a pillar bars are going to be needed. I was just wanting to see what most 135 users were using. I have a strong feeling my car will go faster than 135 and dont want to get booted after 1 or 2 passes but also want to drive my car on the street more often than not. Having a car like this and not driving it is like having a ***** and not boning
