I beg to differ. I'm out of gear in 4th which is holding me back from an 11.3 and I trapped 94 in the 1/8th. You say nowhere near, but I think it's doable. Definately an 11.4

I still have the twin in the car. I'm going to go put it on the dyno here shortly with some Q16 and the Magnus v5. I'll then head back up to mission raceway, raise the rev limiter, and give it hell.

I have a 9 so I have the Factory LSD.

Import Junky,
I know I'm making every bit of 460awhp. I figured I should be running 11.2-11.3's @ 123mph

FYI,
I've got around 250+ passes in a 400whp/400lb ft. turbo 1st gen neon on 25" slicks... I'm no stranger to drag racing.

460whp should have you around 126mph @ your weight...
120 MPH would put you at around 410-420whp

I agree with Junior and I think you could be somewhere in the 10.90-11.10 range depending on conditions and driving ability.

Raise the limiter, my stock turbo car would go 96-98 in the 1/8 and go 11.2x @ 121-122 on the 8500rpm limiter thur the traps.

I went 10.68 on the 35r shifting to 5th. The evo 9 gearing sucks for racing, but you can still get it done.

Like I said in the other thread, 1/8th MPH is highly dependent on the 3-4 shift (at this power level). It's very difficult to estimate 1/4 ET based on 1/8th MPH.

this car is just not making good power for its mods. something in the setup is pinching 50hp somewhere. is that samco a rubber inlet hose? we have seen those collapse on the dyno. hard to say what it is but the parts are just not working well together. the red needs to be treated like a 35r turbo to get good results from it.

I'll be sure to get some in car video. I'd like to get a faster logging speed through Evoscan so I can time my shifts. (tip out to tip in)

Fathouse,
I don't know if you noticed, but I have the Evo8 3rd and 4th gear in my 9 gear box.

94AWDCoupe,
If the samco collapsed I would see a drop in airflow and boost pressure, and a resultant change in AFR. It is the samco silicon inlet tube.

Could it be that I still have the stock cams.... and you're comparing me to a car with some S2's, M3's, or FP4R's?

I think it's weird that RyuEvoIX's car is running deep in the 10's and I'm BARELY into the 11's.... I should go dyno my car as is to find out what's going on. This is beyond frustrating.

I run a red with meth and 93 pump at 31psi and i run 11.3 at 125.something. my 60ft time is 1.7.
When i first got my red i ran a 12.4 at 118mph but dynoed at 490whp. i was shocked. So i ported the turbo and the manifold. added a lightened crank pulley and went back on 17inch rims with snow tires and laid down the above numbers. for some reason i was being held back down the track. its like the red couldnt breath til i ported everything. also i cut a better 60ft time on snow tires than on the re-01r tires i had the first time. on the re01r's i pull 1.8 60ft. on snows i pull 1.7 60ft. since u and i had the same tires. try a softer compound tire and port everything. and raise that rev limiter. i rev to 8400rpm's.

I cut a 1.62 and 1.65 the time before on the RE-01R's... It's definitely not the tires.

I'll most likely have the turbo off before the end of the year, so I'll give it a once over.

if the samco is collapsing it wont show with boost levels or A/F. it would be similar in affect to leaking BOV. the turbo has to work harder to produce the boost it is at. the red has been everyhwere from 9.50 to 12.50s at the track. its not the turbos fault for this. its the setup around it.

I have driven and ridden in RYUs car. Its stupid fast. above and beyond a typical setup for sure but nothing special in the mod department. It just has a combination of mods that work outstanding together.

Ok... I'll bring my factory inlet tube and the Samco one and dyno them back to back. And I'll see if I can't make an aluminum inlet tube.

UPDATE: I've got a dyno time scheduled for tomorrow after work. I'll have some racegas numbers shortly
