FS635 EVO IX at Etown & Island
FS635 EVO IX at Etown & Island
last weekend was a great test & tune weekend... Since i had my brother here from abroad we went to the track for some fun...
Friday night at Etown:
Only two passes because we were stuck in traffic for 2 hours...
First pass was a disaster since my 3rd gear never went in. The slip as follows:
rt 0.737
60ft 1.843
330ft 4.945
1/8 8.159
mph 69.43
1000ft 10.895
1/4 12.975
mph 110.18
missed 3rd gear
Second pass i just wanted to have a full pass so i reaaaally eased 3rd:
rt 0.64
60ft 1.843
330ft 4.955
1/8 7.671
mph 93.89
1000ft 9.891
1/4 11.716
mph 123.47
3rd gear take two
Sunday morning since the day was so nice we went out again. Three passes at Island.
First pass, decent 60ft but i was easing 3rd just to see if i would have issues again and i did kind of.
rt 0.634
60ft 1.767
330ft 4.854
1/8 7.569
mph 96.38
1000ft 9.778
1/4 11.598
mph 128.31
11.598
Second pass, pushed a little bit harder:
rt 0.766
60ft 1.821
330ft 4.949
1/8 7.666
mph 96.770
1000ft 9.864
1/4 11.666
mph 129.32
11.666
Third pass, a little bit harder... LOL
rt 0.813
60ft 1.842
330ft 4.952
1/8 7.609
mph 98.970
1000ft 9.782
1/4 11.561
mph 130.78
11.561
I think you can really tell how much i was easing 3rd gear because i didn't want to miss shift....
Also the same passes from Blackdemon, who i thank for the quality video!!!
Island Test & Tune
Many thanks to Jimmy and The Shop for the build, Junior for the amazing tune, Buschur Racing for the great parts and all the vendors who helped me make a fun and quick street car...
For the history i weighted the car Friday night @ 3368 lbs and ran the car both days on 93 octane Gulf gasoline and always on my Dunlop M3 Winters....
Still stock uported head, stock intake manifold, stock throttle body...

Maybe it's my imagination but the felt like it had more mph on the table on a cleaner pass. I checked the log and the 2nd to 3rd shift was extremely slow. I will measure the time that my foot was off the gas pedal and post again...
Quartermaster twin. I wanted something that allows 9000rpm shifts.
I will go and change the fluids and recheck the clutch on a lift. I might try mt90/mtl mix instead of straight mt90...

From what Junior and Jimmy told me was Island and I think it's supposed to be next month but the kid Jimmy told me to call never called me back so I don't know what the deal is. I'll be up at The Shop all day on Saturday so I will get more details.
At some point I have to tune the car on racegas and really up the boost... 27-28psi for the FS635 is nothing... 35psi and Q16 will really make a difference...
I was using a horsepower calculator and based on the trap and weight I am getting 588whp. That's 36 more than my dynosheet at the Shop using 1.2 but that was with less boost I think...

It would be great to have a track rental with the whole team! I wanted to come on Saturday bt my brother is leaving for Greece and I have to take him to the airport and take care of some other things.

It is quite frustrating indeed. I am not sure yet what the problem is...

Its not your imagination, the car has at least another 2mph left it in with some driving. You can hear the car coming completely off boost between gears. Especially 3rd. Get that **** fixed and lets see some 134-135mph traps on good ol 93 with a heavy *** car.
I will text you about the track rental.
Junior
Nice runs Kouzman.. Its good to see the car is running consistent and well. I am glad you are happy with the car!

Next time I will probably remove some weight like the rear crash beam 17lbs, tool bag 20lbs, rear seat 20lbs and passenger seat another 37lbs. That's 94lbs and maybe with a little less gas that's over 100lbs... It will definitely make a difference but it still will be weighting around 3250lbs with driver!!!
and here's the log...

first part is the IAT and afr
second is the boost
third is the TPS and rpm
and check the 2nd to 3rd gearchange... on the TPS i measured 0.7 secs of the throttle being less than 100%.... LOL
