Compute this

Your opponent wins over you by roughly 2 cars ...

Assume both of you have the same driving skills (launch and shift)

How much more HP does he have?

How many secs did he beat you by?

Lets also assume your time was flat 13.

Are both cars the same? Gearing is also an issue.

way too many variables like weight, gearing, tire compunds, ect... to calculate something like that.

weight

yes weight is a big issue i saw my guys celica die by about 2.5 cars to an accord, the thing is in the accord driver is about 80 lbs and his skinny girlfriend is about 80 not much weight but in the celica was my 90 lbs friend and his four fat asian cuzins wich adds a whole hell of alot of uneccesarry weith to the race

I think he was in Bridgestone Potenzas.

was it even on the launch? or were you in front and he pulled past?

if it was dead even and then he just pulled alittle during the run.... then my number stands.

yeah, it was an even launch, if you take out the fact he jumped on me.

gained on him in 2nd, then he slowly pulled away in 3rd. But, the gap was maintained at 2 cars from mid 3rd gear to end of race

well it sounds like you have a little more torque down low at 4K ish if you pulled in 2nd, but his peak is higher and he pulle din 3rd

Are you sure thats it for the power difference, I could have sworn that the evo 2 only out around 250 and the 6 was 271, well anyway, what about mods?

no... based on the pull and weight opf the cars..... thast about what the dyno differences in teh cars are.

its like how a 230 rwhp muctang hangs with a 300 rwhp ls1 for the first 2 gears.

the gearing is so short in the mustang it is able to stay in its short peaky pwer band. And it is lighter by a few hundred pounds. Once the ls1 hits third. Its very flat dyno where it is making close to 300 hp for a long time in the powerband and it just walks away. this is where the "ls1 TOP END" that you hear about comes form about.

that doesnt have anything to do with it

its usable RPM that matters

you can have a 4k redline and be fast as long as you stay above your peak torque between shifts

If you do 13sec 1/4 and the other car beat you by 2 car, he did a 12.75 sec. in my estimate.
