i agree
but if people actually read the first page, im assuming someone from speed tech posted links to his website and facebook page.....

i guess its hard for people to realize there might more then one company with the same initals

Id say with the type of issues STM NZ has right now the distinction should be EMPHASIZED.. I highly doubt STM US has been absorbing any of the success from the other company..

Quote: SO TO CLARIFY...

Dave is a customer of STM...not an owner of STM. Dave just owns the car that they built for him. right?
This is correct!! Dave is a customer of Speedtech Motorsports and is in no way linked to the business itself... This needs to be made clear as people/competitors like to witch hunt and discredit the shop... which AGAIN has nothing to do with what a customer does in there personal life...

The owner of the vehicle was also the driver..

Quote: Thats stink if its true. If the police auction off his car I want to buy it. That way it will continue to see the light of day. Bro keep us in the know.
Sweet Maui.... I'll keep in contact, although everything is pretty sensitive right now.... Im feeling for the Speedtech Crew as this was a flagship vehicle and was probably going to dip lower into the 8's this coming season. They were in total shock and I think still dont know whats happening.. If you have a spare hundred or so grand then you may get a look in on the auction hahaha...

Quote: Please make sure everyone understand this is STM in NZ not US Based STM.. Id hate to see our friends Emery and Crew @ STM US be mistaken..
Of course, also worth bearing in mind STM NZ are in no way tied into the allegations - its purely to do with the owner, so the bad press could just as easily be to do with a STM US customer as far as involvement is concerned.

The world records however are distinctly related to STM NZ hahaha

Quote: i saw that too, but WOW is all i have to say... i wish it wasnt a dogbox tranny,, I cant wait for AMS to hit that switchin their own gears
Silly talk.

Thats the problem, there is too much pride involved with a lot of crews to try new things. Fact of the matter is, this thing is a beast. Human error is taken out of the equation for the most part after the car is launched.

Thumbs up to STM

^ Beyond that, this car was by no means running at full capacity... AMS *may* have just managed to edge it out in time for the next stage. However if the rumours are true, they may have some reprieve unless the project ends up with a new owner

Does #1 stay #1 if it gets scrapped?

Quote: The roof weather stripping falling off is awesome. Weather stripping is no match for 160+
That is so true. I know this from personal experiance driving the autobahn. Put a nasty nick in my roof cause it came off the windshield and smacked the roof!
