Hoosier 17" Drag Radial FTW ( NO EVO CONTENT )

Took my friends PUMPGAS sti out for some testing today on the Hoosier 17" Drag Radial...
http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=1968767
Car has a 6262 making 500whp on 23psi and 93 octane.
Turbotrix Sleeved Race motor with GSC 3 cams and built heads.
Stock ECU + Utec for LC and SD
Built at THE SHOP CT
Weighs in around 3350 with me in it.
Best MPH for the day was 131, Best ET was 10.7@130 with a 1.48 60ft on the Hoosier Drag Radials, I was not to shocked to see the 1.4 as the car left super smooth without even a little wheel hop. Pretty nice to be able to launch a 500whp 450ftlb car at 7k and have it hook up so well.

We also tried the tires on another STI and that went a 1.5060ft and got us another 10sec PUMPGAS sti.

So that is 2 pumpgas STIs into the 10s both on the Hoosier Drag radial..
For what its worth I think we only have like 4 Subies that go 10s on pump 93 This one is by far the fastest to date.

Congrats on the monster 60ft and great pass.. I would have been happen with a 1.73 60ft in the right lane. The 1.48 is ludicrous and t pain combined!

Congrats Junior. Seems that the tires that "would not work" are doing pretty well.

Like I told you last night Keith, that was my 1 and only pass.. and my first pass on the Tilton.
2 more passes and I KNOW that I would go 1.45s or better... Still had the tire pressure pretty high, and the car still spun a bit.

Only thing that made me chuckle was the lack of Evos at the race.. Well there was our customer Pete i guess who set his quickest / Fastest personal best with Diiirk tune.. Didnt see your car or garry's?? weird..

We were forced to run those based on the 245 rule they have in place or i would have chosen the Mickey thompsons that i get better 60fts with.. They arent good enough for an evo that makes any big power.. 10.7@130 a little different than 9.8@149.. Dont you think..

MH is making a tire for us it just wanst complete in time for this event..

Mike

I was there with my 1g> Sucks i sold my evo would have loved to be out there with it. Had to settle for running the 11.5index with my junkyard setup 1g.
Garrys car desnt fit in any classes so were just gonna sit nscra out with that one and make a 1pass wonder like everyone else.
Was that guy petes car the flat black one with tinted lexan?

Hoosiers are Hoosiers, just because 9sec9 was pushing them doesn't mean he made them in his backyard. Put them on a prepped track and they do very well. Congrats on those times!

LOL!!

If this were a dyno/tuning thread I am sure it would have been 600whp!!!
