I never understood why Rich doesn't just use a tree. I like the show none the less.

 

Its suppose to be like a street race. You loose the race you loose your car. Thats the idea.

 

Because it is to easy to get the sequence down, In most bracket racing classes and Sportsman classes, these staging bulbs will light in sequence, a half-second apart. This is called a Full Tree. Some classes, however, use a Pro Tree. A Pro Tree will light all three ambers simultaneously, with a four-tenths of a second delay between them and the green light.

Once you know what tree your using you know the times.Rich wants to test the drivers ability to react on his arms he holds them up in between 2-5 sec then drops if you try and guess when he drops then there is a greater risk of false start or dreaded red light.



The whole ''loose the race you loose your ride'' slogan is for the show PINKS, they stoped that show and Pinks all out was born because they were tiered of people agreeing to build along certian guide lines and then when its time to film they find out someone decided to go 100 cubic inches bigger with n20 vs a 350 small block n/a no n20so now you have two different brackets of cars which led to sandbaging, oh i think this is broke so i need more lenghts when they simply just missed a shift. now everything is recorded by computers and you cant run faster than 2/10ths faster than your qual time.
