Since we have some of the best evo/dsm shops in the country right here in Illinois and a badass shop in Ohio. Who's going out to represent our community. You only ever see badass Honda's or some lame Imports on that show. So can we expect to see any of your 8 or 9 second cars out there. Maybe even a couple supras from SP that would be cool too.
Also how many locals are going to check it out. Let me know.

i believe you had to pre register for the event and run it a month before or something like that but i could be wrong.

 

I hope some of our shops do it. Their cars are more than capable. Come on Ams,buschur, strictly modified, APM , sound performance, boomba, and others chime in and let us know if any of you will be running.

 

Qualifications were last month they cars are already all chosen and Friday is test/tune day and saturday is the event

 

tried to get devin's 8 sec talon in this, but we were denied

hopefully someone else in the area had better luck and we'll see some local guys or shops there

devin's got the decals in silver and red for now. i think strictly might have a few too, but i'm not certain.

angryevo8 - plz update us when you go to check out Pinks this weekend. i'm curious to know what time they picked and who's there.

 

Who is Devin?

We did Pinks a few years ago, it's a lot of sitting around waiting with very little chance of making the field they chose.

 

Devin has the 35r record with his 8 sec talon - https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/dr...stest-35r.html. This is the same car with the 16g record from last year that was also totalled last October while at US 41 drag strip in Indiana when a late 60's Dodge Dart broke an axel off the line and t-boned him at the 60ft mark. Got the car fixed and went 8s his second time at the track this year

Devin use to be the tech/tuner at Strictly Modified, and 4 months ago moved to Boomba Racing (also in Schaumburg, IL) to be the tech/tuner. He had the car at the shootout last year, but had trans issues and couldn't compete but we'll see you again this year!

He is currently at work, but if you have any more questions, I can tell him and have him log on tonite after work to answer them.
