Went back out to the track today and got a little better. Track prep still kinda sucked but I did cut a 1.59 60ft. on 18" rims/drag radials.
Got 2 passes in. 10.55 @134mph and my new personal best with this pass.

60ft. 1.592
330ft. 4.469
1/8th mile 6.801
mph 105.26
1000 8.801
1/4 10.486
mph 133.74

only got two passes in before I broke a rear axle on the 3rd pass. Got the car to hook and it hooked too good lol. Oh well, always next time. The beat the crap 70k+ mile rear axles have seen better days.

Thanks Pat! And ya, they are definitely a torque fuse haha. I just looked at the axles again this morning, looks like I broke BOTH rear axles They didn't break in the typical spot either. They broke the stub shafts that go into the diff. Hopefully it didn't damage the rear diff. I'm pulling them out today to inspect the damages.

As far as video, I have incar footage that I will post later. Not the greatest incar footage since my windows are tinted at 15%, so the camera adjusted itself for the lighting inside my car, have a white glare out the windshield in the video. I will try to edit it to clean the white wall effect and post it up.

Oh I agree there 100%. But right now the 18's are keeping my RPM down going through the trap with the 2.3L stroker. at 134mph traps and the 18" rims with 245/40/18 tires I cross through at 8350rpm in 4th gear.

Here is the incar video, didn't turn out good, video camera adjusted to lighting inside the car and with 15% window tint it made the front windshield a white wall glare, Oh well, you can still kinda see out the windshield. This pass the sun was pretty much right in my face. Stupid camera.

Right at 3000ft.
Some days the DA will be really good, while other days it's like racing in Denver Colorado

That's even more impressive with a "small" turbo at 3000 feet. No one has been able to do that at sea level with the gt30. Congrats.

You are 2000 feet below ABQ National Dragway and 3000 below Bandimere.

Thanks man, I've been working on it hard this past year to get it to run absolutely 100% perfect. Although it is completely maxed out right now with the gt30. I really wonder what an HTA 3582r or the HTA 3586r would do on this thing. I'm sure it would be a single digit car with either of those turbos. One of those is my next turbo for sure though.

Welp, looks like I'm going to have to finish the cage up to a 8 point cage and window net along with licensing once again Should have never let my NHRA license laps. Oh well.
FP HTA-3586r with a tial .82a/r exhaust housing is on the way for the car, said the hell with it and get a turbo that will give me plenty of head room to play around with.
I'm sure with the HTA-3586r it will dip me into the 9's at around 31-32lbs of boost if I'm already running 10.40-10.50's with a dinky gt30r
I'm also going to have to start looking at building another shortblock since I will not be able to push the 3586r to it's potential on my eagle rods that I have currently now in my stroker. Wouldn't want to put a nice bird hole feeder in the block haha.

Hmmm if I recall correctly I thought you said when you first bought this car that you weren't going to go crazy with it... Here you are about a year and a half later and have to go with a 8 point cage and NHRA license again. LOL. I guess you aren't going to go all out and have a drive shaft snap and send the rear end up in the air like in the Talon. I am really looking forward to your results because I live at altitude and once I get everything back together and max out the red I am going to go with a hta86 also.

good luck

I said I wasn't going to get crazy with it like I did with the talon I think right about 9.50's I will call it quits as far as power goes. 9.50's is extremely fast for a street car. Past that point it seems instead of owning the car, the car starts to own me But I did plan on having a daily driven 9second car when I 1st got this evo. So I'm just about there with the goal in mind for the evo.
I've had the evo for a little over 2 years now btw.

De ja vu.

I recall reading similier post on dsmtalk like it was yesterday lol. From the time you went from the 3065 to 3575 to t67 and beyond. The car just kept getting faster and faster.

I have a feeling that the evo will not stop at 9.50's. As soon as you go 9.4, the new target will be 8.9.

We are all watching Jake. Good luck.
