Well after building the car and taking longer than I thought, I finally made it to the track tonight to make some runs. Sorry the only tack at this time near me is a 1/8 mile. This is the first time in a year that I have ran my car at the track and with the new set up. First few passes were not so great just trying to get the hang of the car and get it out of the hole. My two set was way two low (6800) for slicks. Thanks to Jim he ran the lap top out right before the track closed and I was able to bump it up some for the last pass. So the best pass of the night was 6.54 @ 114 with a really bad 1.57 60 foot. Next time out I'm taking the lap top so I can work on the two step and get the car out of the hole better. I will post a video tomorrow.

I'm not sure what my car weighs in at. It has full interior with double den radio. I would guess around 3300 with driver. I'm going to get it scaled this week. Next up i need to give AWD Motorsports a call and order me some D2 coilovers. My 120K shocks and tein springs are not cutting it any more.

nice time, if 6800 is low for slicks what do you think it should be? cuz it seems about right to me, i dont know a whole lot about drag racing but ive heard alot of ppl launch from 6800, anything else seems a little hazardous to the car, but once again i dont know much about drag racing.

Also what kind of power are you making?

 

He probably could raise his two step up a little to maybe about 7200 or so to keep it from bogging. Great times though man! With that type of mph, your car is well into the 9s. What type of slicks are you running?

 

Just slip the clutch more, 6800 should be just fine! Nice runs though, a 6.5 is flying.

 

I would love a 1.57 60' on my car! lol

That's a great built motor and set of cams you have in there.

Take it to a 1/4 mile track and knock out that single digit pass!
