i have the slowest evo ever made
I thought (from the whole RX8 horsepower issue) that the horsepower has to be within 5% of the manufacturers claim. So don't mod your car, try to set up a dyno day and have a comparison for the dealer of other stock EVO's versus yours.
They can not blow you off saying that they can't do anything...if you have a defective engine they HAVE to fix it or replace the car.

Another thing to consider. Florida is pretty hot and humid...two things that a turbocharged car does not like. I'm not sure what the temp and humidity levels have been like, but I know here in Austin when the temp dips down the EVO is a totally different car.
If they are not going to help you need to call MNA and talk to them and tell them that your car's boost in not in spec and that you need to get this resolved.

abviously it isn't a drag car but we are all taking it to the track and it does perform like a champ in the 1/4 when modded as proved. wether or not it was ment for it is diferent. all cars are not ment to be ragged on like that.

How many cars do you know (that are supposed "drag racer cars") can run 1.80 60ft times without breaking. The mustang can't (execpt the 03 cobra) the Camaro sure as hell can't... I guess the WRX can?
Hell I dunno..... this is my first AWD car. But it seems to hold up ALOT better than the american cars I raced. If some of this post doesn't make sense it's because i'm about 7 shots deep in Sailor Jerry =P
CHEEEEERS!
I agree with the weather factor. My car is totally different in the summer with above 100 degrees everyday. It felt slow as ****. I bought it in the summer too. Now it's about 60 in the daytime and I'm boosting higher and the car just moves. Just what I expected for the lower fall temps.
I'm sure you would break into the 13s if it was cooler there in florida. Do a dyno and get a baseline and then start modding.
It's funny that people store their car for the winter and I am thinking about storing it for the summer. Try driving in traffic with the A/C and it's 109 degrees. It's not fun. The car prolly runs 15s with those conditions.

Yes, I have been to Florida many times and it does feel hotter. But that may be your problem with your car. I wonder what other Florida members are getting stock versus yours? Tell you the truth, if I lived in S. Fla, I would not consider a turbo car just because of how much the performance is hampered by temp and humidity, especially a 2 liter engine. I can deal with 5 months of hot here in the SW, but the rest of the year is just fine and very cold at night.
