imsonastie, I imagine your Apex Silver Evo is stock? 13.8 isn't bad at all. Looking at the 'specs' of your run, you should be able to get your 60' time down to a 1.80 or better with practice, which should yield a 0.2-0.3 sec drop in your 1/4 mile time.
Three questions for you:
1) What rpm did you launch at?
2) Did you granny shift (clutch in, off gas, shift, clutch out, back on gas) or speed shift (clutch in while still on gas, shift, clutch out) during your runs?
3) How consistent were your runs all day?
All in all, good run!

first of all i would never ever "speed shift" unles i wanted to **** up my car . i shift fast enough. reg shifting isnt granny shifting so i duno what your thinking of bro. my runs were pretty constant 13.9's then the 13.8 all 1.9 60'. and considering all im boosting is 15-16 psi im pretty pruod of myself right now. now time for modding.
so now you're right there with the norm for that kind of 60ft!
u must be relieved! lol
i thought i had a weak evo too.. and so did many others, and after practise and some modding and good tuning they turn out into monsters!
rollaway for one had a really tough time breaking into the 12's with his, and now he's ran an 11.8!!
i dont know my best ET because when i finally got out to the track after my latest mods i forgot how to launch and i heated up my clutch and it slipped for the few times i had time to run.. but at least i know my car is strong because i went from a 104mph trap to 108.3 with my clutch slipping the whole way!!

'speed shifting' doesn't mess up your clutch, 'power shifting' does as it's a clutchless shift and can mess up the synchros...
If you're only boosting 15-16psi, I'd try to get that problem fixed first before modding. It could be a messed up boost bypass valve or something with your intercooler piping. Either way, if your car is stock, have your mitsu dealer check it out while your warranty is still valid.
I'm in the final stages of negotiation for an Apex Silver Evo (working out details over the trade-in value of my Lightning), so I must say that I admire your color choice. Silver is the only color IMHO that goes well with the clear tail lights.
Congrats again on your time!

Great job!! I am a bit dissapointed with my numbers, but I was having a challenge with the launch...I have never driven a turbocharged car, nor an AWD, so I think I am way below the learning curve so to speak, but I did get a few helpful pointers from many of the EVO and STi guys that were at the track.

Good job I did 13.2 @ 105mph with a 1.89 60 foot and all I have is works ralley ecu reflash.
Now I have the hks catback system and plan on doing the boost enhancment that Works rally offers cant wait to see what I do then....
