^ I had a quick question for everyone. I was thinking about switching cams and going to something a little bigger then my Fp5r. I was looking into the Tomei 280 cams for the Evo 9 or the Kelfords 288/280. Thinking with a little bigger cams, will help out in power. Anyone have any suggestions for cams for my setup??

With a dyno sheet maybe some one could suggest cams. I got kelfords 280/276 on my 6765/10:5 also. The only 288/280 that ive done are installed on a 2.1 with a BW S400 so i dont know how good comparison that would be. that one made like 840whp(MD) but we stopped because of clutch issues.

I think thats one of the hardest things to do. Picking cams. some times you got to sacrifice bottom to pick HP. Im pretty sure what you got will get you where you wanna go. Best of luck. With them 60s and that insane trap speed im betting youll touch 8s next time out.

I love to see none "shop cars" run like this. To see regular guys putting this much sweat, blood and tears"lol" in to it and get this results has to be amazing.

Things like this keep some of us going......

Your exactly right its very tough to pick the right set of cams. You almost have to take the risk and see how the HP numbers will come out. The Fp5r are awesome cams, had them in my Fp Black setup last season. There are Cams out there with bigger lifts and more duration and im thinking trying out a set. The kelfords and the Tomei has my eyes set on them but will see.

Thanks Man! I love this hobby and bring the car to the track and racing it. It gets very expensive but i love the hobby and Im glad I get people to get out there and continue to mod/race Evos! Every year I set goals for myself and for the last few years I have reached them. Now I have to do 8s in street car trim Evo then I will be happy. I will prolly never change the setup on the car hahaha
