here is some stuff that i gathered.

ABS unit. 5lbs
ABS lines 1lb
ABS master 1.9lbs.

ABS delete kit is 3lbs. so basically all you save if 5 lbs. but you gain a hole lot of room.

stock engine harness. i weighed it in at 11lbs. but i did disassemble a lot of it. but i put everything on the scale. so 11lbs it is.

the bracket that holds 3 sensors next to the abs unit was 1.8lbs. yes its deleted now.

so far i dropped 6.8lbs and cleaned up the bay a hell of a lot.

the engine harness i hope to see 5lbs off that. i ordered a chasebay's engine harness. but there going to custom make it to my liking. meaning. i do not use the rear o2 sensor, there deleting ABS out of it, and i do not use 3 other sensors that where hooked up to emissions and such. soooooooo why have them at all? there being removed from the hole harness. if i do not need it then it must go. i will have a complete review and thread coming soon once i get the harness in.

so. in the end i am hoping for 11.8lbs+

while i am waiting for my engine harness i am cleaning up the fire wall some. basically just getting the dirt and grim off it. and then i saw a opportunity for carbon fiber.

well here it is. once the car is all back together you wont be able to see this but i will know it is there. haha. instead of buying the ugly paper cover used for the A/C delete i decided to make mine out of carbon fiber.

I can't believe I've missed this thread this long.

Glad you made it out to the shootout again. You were so close to your 9 second pass! You will get there!

The autocross is addictive! I want to do one every week! I hope to have my car set up better than it is for next years events. Don't forget Dan, we run one in the spring too!

thanks david. i hope to make the 20th as well. something is strange though. anything Evo related normally my girl HATES. but the 19th shootout was her first and she absolutely loved it. she is begging to come again. so it will be us for the 20th.

thanks man. i still have a little bit of time before the season is over to get that 9 second pass.

the AutoX stuff is kick ***. i already know i am doing it again next year. i also am thinking of buying a good tire for it as well. i didnt know you held a spring event. i will see what i can do about trying to make it. that would be a cool trip to kick off the season. is there a thread on it? or what is the event called i can go find it.

Good to hear your girlfriend enjoyed herself. The event isn't like most others, there is SO much going on, so many people with a common interest that it's more of a social gathering than you get at nearly any other race.

Here's a link to our spring race:

little update. i plan 1 last trip to the track before the end of the year. i have 100% given up on 100oct fuel for a few reasons. 1. cost. 8.58 a gallon here. i spent way more then i wanted on fuel this year. the car made great power on it but for some reason still does not run 9s. 2. my local sunoco does not supply it anymore. i do not know why and i am not traveling 1.5 hours then carting 100oct fuel back home.

so i decided to go to E85 fuel. i will have to cart it 45 minutes to get it to my home but its also 3.50 a gallon or something. so its much more worth it. i really am disappointed for a few reasons. the car ran 10.3 on pump ''93'' at 137. i added 100hp to the car and it runs consistent 10.4s at 141. i do not understand it. its disappointing to say the least. anyways when i do the E85 tune i do not plan to run the car with the added HP. i will be running the car with the same HP as i have now until i see some sort of improvement. then i will up the boost and add the extra power and see where that ends up.

i do not know when ill get the E85 tune. i have to much going on in my life right now to even worry about it and i am also short on funds. so i might not even make it out this year. who knows. but this is my plan. lets see how well it stays on track.
