Shifting into 5th in the 1/4
Theoretically... with an MR transmission, would it be best to finish the 1/4 in 4th or 5th?
Used a gear ratio calculator and at 8500 RPM the car would be at 126 in 4th... and at 7500 the car would be at 111
With stock turbo, would it be better to just shift at 7500 and finish in 5th? Or would you rev it out to 8500 and finish in 4th?

OP, need more info, mods? Power? Tire size? Unless you are trapping over 120mph with your stock turbo you don't need to shift to 5th. Just stay in 4th & rev it out to 8000 or so...I have my rev limiter set to 8300 with my 6 spd. I will be doing a 5 spd swap over the winter.
