Well, MIR WCF did not go exactly as I had hoped it would. It was a nightmare of an event with cars constantly breaking, wrecking, and weather preventing us from making more than a few passes down the track. The crew at MIR was fantastic, but this seemed somewhat like the perfect storm for extreme frustration.
My best pass was a 9.51@151 with a 1.55 60ft. Even though this was a new personal best for me and likely one of the fastest passes you'll see at 33psi, this was not good enough for us at TPG. We came to break the record of 9.33 and I essentially screwed the pooch. I know everyone makes mistakes, but this is the first time I didn't get the time I was looking to achieve. Everyone at TPG Tuning has done an incredible job at setting this car up for success and it really sucks to not have been able to pilot it to a new world record when the car clearly has the ability to do exactly that.
The only good thing to come from this is that I'm quite pissed off at myself and have never been more determined to succeed - I know everyone else at TPG feels the same way. We should be at Pittsburgh Raceway Park this coming weekend so long as the weather holds up.
I want to thank Robert at Forced Performance for giving me the opportunity to run this turbo and test out these parts. You guys come up with some truly wicked stuff and I can't wait to prove that this turbo is far more capable than a 9.51.
This motor would be in pieces already if it was not built by the magician, Curt Brown. Only he could put together a 2.3ltr motor that can be repeatedly run well beyond 9000rpms without issue.
See you guys at the track! Oh, and here's that 9.51 pass...
Damn this car is making some great power on a stock frame turbo! Solid pass though man and I think this car can definitely see bottom 9s. A lot of room for improvement on the 60ft as well. Good Luck if you make it back out this weekend!
I saw the car at the event.. I was so ready to see that car go low 9s.. But at least you guys haven't given up. I had the grey evo 9 with the green fd rims and the huge Ivey Tune sticker on the back window that competed in True Street class..

Nice, I know I saw your car, but I can't remember what it ran? How'd you do?
It was overwhelming how many people came up and recognized the car and were pulling for me to do well. On my last pass Sunday night, I tore out of the hole and went 6.222@108mph in the 1/8th after missing 4th. That was 2 hundreths quicker than on my 9.51 pass and 10mph slower - still went 9.74@147. If I hadn't have missed 4th, I would have been way under a 9.33.

My car hooked great... 1.47 60' But I hit the rev limiter in 1st, grabbed 2nd and it went 9.51 @ 151 but I am also hitting my 9k rev limiter in 4th gear around the 1000' mark.. This was my first time out this year.. I think if Ivey ups the rev limiter to 9500 and get another 1.4 60' the car can possibly go high 9.3 or low 9.4 @ 155ish.. But idk if I'll have enough time to go back out to the track this year.. It was def good seeing other evos there.. I think it was only me, you, and an evo in 11.5 index that competed..
ahhh, that was the pass i saw. Car looked great man. I actually said to my girlfriend, "holy sh*t that thing was fast!" she replied, "yeah, that's exactly what your car looks like going down the track." haha, you don't realize how fast a mid 9 second pass at 150 looks unless you are actually there. Video just doesn't do it justice. What turbo are you running? Great 60ft and pass!

I was out there spectating, first time I'd been to that track. I was glad to see Canexican's car (although I didn't know which was his until now), the Ivey Tune car, the Procco Evo, the Boostin performance red Talon and a whole faction of DSM guys pitted towards the back. I saw a couple more Evos in index classes as well and that fast 3000GT was pretty awesome.
Didn't introduce myself to anyone since it was such a whirlwind of a weekend I didn't get to stop anywhere in the pits.
Can't wait till next year, it such a great event.
