Just bumping this thread for the evo guys; 5 weeks until the event.

It's my first time at a drag event but I'm just entering the street class with my 8g turbo galant.

There's a bracket racing section.

just saw that Cecil County dragway is now carrying a limited supply of E85 at the track. Sounds like they mix it themselves, test it to 85%.

Event organizer might be able to get you more info by talking to the track.

For those whom are traveling long distances to compete in this event be prepared for NHRA rules. I have been to that track at least 50 or more times and they are very strict. I had to get a NHRA License to continue to run their.

Please see the below correspondence.

Just received this Email from Cecil County Raceway.

Dear Sir, I plan on attending the 2014 East Coast Shootout | All Mitsubishi Turbo Event on June 8. What are the rules for a Mitsubichi Evolution capable of 9's at over 140 mph? Is a cage Etc. needed?

Thank You for your time

You need an NHRA certified Roll cage and all associated safety equipment required by NHRA. You will also need a valid NHRA competition license.

I have mixed feelings about the post I made.

But I know I would be upset if I hauled my Evo their and they would not allow me to run, and I only live 45 minutes away.

Bad News Don
