Now you know what makes me feel real bad is everything that was just said in the last post, I did!!! Down to the launch point the quick burnout and lower psi. I dont know what else to do.

from what i understand it learns thats why they give it the idle time and the long slow run time before drivin hard. I am gonna check the connections tomorrow and make sure all is good. I f I knew how to solder id solder the wires in
na its cool it seems like once i get past the 60' minus that idfference its not a bad run I heard that the track wasnt in that good shape being the first run of the season and only my second time ever out to the track, so we will see what happens next weekend
Hey 2002OZ!
Good fun at the track man! Thought your car was running pretty good for an OZ! Looks good on the interior as well! Where did you pick up the 93 octane gas? I have only been able to find 92 around here. Anyway here are my runs from the track:
60' - 1.991
330 - 5.697
1/8 - 8.733
MPH = 82.22
1000 - 11.363
1/4 - 13.563
MPH = 102.98
Next Run was:
60' - 1.885
330 - 5.533
1/8 - 8.561
MPH = 80.55
1000 - 11.201
1/4 - 13.408
MPH = 102.61
Last run (I red lighted by .322 secs on this one. I was going for the $50 perfect tree hehe)
60' - 2.002
330 5.661
1/8 - 8.687
MPH = 83.37
1000 - 11.336
1/4 - 13.540
MPH = 102.72
See you out there again soon! Wont make it next weekend though due to the PDXTuning dyno day. Ill also bring a camera next time so I can record your launch and maybe we can see whats going on with your 60'

I missed the perfecr light by .002 I almost nailed it. I was happy with that though huge improvment over my alst time. A camera would be awsome, to see what I am doing wrong, I know I can get my times down lower, just gotta practice and race more. Had a great time though.

Wow I have been busy to the point where I missed this thread.
Anyway I agree alot with what has already been said. I think the most crucial peace of advice about the 60' is that once you hold the revs at 3000 and release the clutch, DO NOT FLOOR the accelerator. It defeats the purpose of the 3000 rpm launch and all you get is a bunch of wheel spin.
You should be able to gauge how fast you are moving and be beyond on the point of wheel spin by the time you put your foot to the floor. I don't think it makes sense to shift that low at 4500 rpm into 2nd. The car should still pull to nearly 6k rpm.
Lastly
In the early days most people did not shift into 4th and were running faster times than those who did. I know that last time out to the track I shifted to 4th I think twice out of the 4 runs I had and they were both slower than running the 1/4 in 3rd.
Other than that NIce times 2002!!!!
I'm sure you can get to very low 16s if not 15's with the mods you have.

I forgot to add that my 60's were averaging betweem high 2.3's to low 2.4's. I have some very cheap tires yet they are slightly oversized (205/60/15)
Once these are finished I plan on getting some decent performance tires. That should help grip tremendously.
