Extreme Tuners evo ix 8.489@173
Extreme Tuners evo ix 8.4 went 8.489@173.
some specs of it:
Engine: extreme tuners stage 4, 1.8ltr 12.000rpm 16.8:1cr
Turbo: Garrett GTX55 @ 28psi / 1180awhp / 12.000rpm
at this pass was 1180awhp.
in car video of 8.4sec
photos:
Another video from a 8.6 - 173 1,6ft run.
below is next and last pass with 1380awhp (~1700hp), but unfortunately they didn't get any time as the car didn't start up with boost and lost lot of time. You can see the power difference from the 8_4sec run video.
They will do more runs
some old info for this engine.
Below is the dynoplot in 22psi 1014awhp dynojet 12k rpms.
Here is the dynoplots in their full boost that will test this car, 44 psi 1744awhp (2145hp) using nitromethane.
They will do more runs in the future and we will see.

This seems pretty legit, good work - finally! This IS impressive, if you ignore all the previous hype and bagging of other tuners.
It's still almost a full second off what was promised nearly a year ago, but anyone who knocks a mid/low 8s 4cylinder AWD are being a bit petty.

also of note:
car is not a stripped drag car. I see no tube front end, full glass, factory dash and steering wheel. looks like a nice street car still. and that track is un-prepped. and clearly the second video shows this car is gonna shatter that 8.40 when it makes a clean pass on higher boost. and its only 1.8liters.
major respect is deserved here if you ask me.

Thank you for your kind words, and for helping them. The track is not dedicated for this power as you can see. Also the car is not a drag car, they have only remove the seats of the interior. Normal glasses, and stock frame and not tube end etc. In 2 months will go to test again in deiferent track to see. They made 8.6 with 1.68 - 60ft that mean with same boost as they already made 1.31 - 60ft time with same boost will be much lower. So in 2 months when any track open will test again.
they use destroked 4g64 block.
the second video is not speed up, the first is with 1180whp and second is with 1380awhp. only difference is power up. The engine sound is different because of this. the time is the same if you measure it with timer. Shep cars engine is completely different philosophy of this, different setup.
Please ask me anything if you want to know

That bottom video sounds sped up.....again..... why would you speed up a video of a car that actually did an 8 second pass. It sounds like an F1 car, not a 4G.
This is what a 7 second talon sounds like for reference.

^ exactly. It sounds like a honda revving to the moon. Which at 1.8L and 12+k thats probably a good approximation. I don't know how much F1 you guys watch but I wouldn't mistake that sound for F1 ever.
Impressive results for that track. Very high effort build, I'm glad people are still interested in doing this for 4g63/ct9as.

The F1 car statement was meant as an example on how odd that car sounds. It resembles the last video (linked starts @ 1:35) that was proven to be sped up. I have my opinions on the matter, but in the end it really doesn't matter. For a full interior car its extremely fast.
