Need pointers Slipping the Clutch

well i lost to this turbocharged 04 civic today (i think 270-300whp). just because i slipped the clutch to fast and bogged bad. he jumped too far ahead of me to catch up. Damn t3t4 turbos have major topend.

I had an awesome launch racing my friends civic gsr hybrid. I gave him a car length and just nailed an awesome launch at 5k rpms and jumped ahead in first gear.

i just got a new clutch and i don't want to slip it to slow and burn the thing up like the stock one. i just need help how to setup a launch. I usually rev it up and let it drop then rev it up again and slip the clutch. and its either hit or miss for me. Any Tipsss Pointersss? I'll be practicing peace.

Kind of sounds like you were either too low in the rpms when you did slip it out or the fact that you might have started to pull the clutch out as the rpms were dropping instead of on the up swing. You are bouncing the rpms when your getting ready to launch the car right?
