quicky launching question
quicky launching question
i launched my car for the second time last night and id it like i thought we were supposed to. dial in at 5, slip until car moves a little and then dump. i swear my stock clutch didn't bike and ust slipped, until i hit second and then it hooked up fine. my question being, is this what happened? did the clutch just slip on me through all of first gear or does the evo just launch super slow? (smelled clutch for a good 5 mins afterward)
i've launched my car using the launch control system about 7 times (stock clutch). never had that happen. it always hooks up instantly at shoots out the hole like a bullet blasting out of the barrel.
sounds like your clutch was slipping in 1st.

Please don't bother us right now. We're busy organizing a rescue mission to Northern Canada. We just heard of some poor X being abused by its master in some place called "Alberta."
If you really insist on discussing this, maybe we should move the conversation over here: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...placement.html

Dude, if you slipped the clutch all the way through first on a hard launch, ending up with a noseful of clutch for the next five minutes, then you just did (pulling large random number from my nether regions) about 5,000 miles of normal driving.
